Insomniac is going to pull this off on the PS4 as well.
Holy shit man. This is the best RT I've seen to date. Before this is always thought RT was overrated.
Didn't we literally just have a thread complaining that we knew nothing about the gameMan can they stop showing shit now please
This is amazing but too much :(
Yup, another case of "Era user creates thread about something missing -> That something materializes".Didn't we literally just have a thread complaining that we knew nothing about the game
Ok so yesterday i told i would pick 60fps over raytracing cuz so far i didnt saw any example of raytracing that impressed me. I change my mind.
Good.Miles rolled over the poor cat while it was in his backpack :(
The ray tracing on the front of that shop looks amazing, but I wish we could have that for all the buildings. Imagine seeing accurate reflections while swinging. Maybe next next gen...
One image from the remaster show that the buildings windows have raytracing reflections. The ray tracing on the front of that shop looks amazing, but I wish we could have that for all the buildings. Imagine seeing accurate reflections while swinging. Maybe next next gen...
you clicked into the thread and then played the video yourself though lolMan can they stop showing shit now please

Funnily enough they had already shown Spider-Cat but we all missed it or didn't believe 😂
The lack of Bachata playing in the background of the bodega and no clanking of a spatula hitting a flat top grill detracts from this scene. 9/10. lol
Yeah I think we will only get 1-1 in very tight shots like the bodega scene. That shit is insanely good the reflection looks like a damn real life door opening. I'm shook lolThere are accurate reflections on all windows and glass buildings. But the reflections are not 1:1 graphical detail with non reflected world quality, still close enough and fantastic looking though.
Insomniac!

Wow, cannot wait for the game's release!these actually look even more physically accurate now as compared to when we captured the footage.
That's also what amazed me. Reflections tends to be used on static object.Yeah I think we will only get 1-1 in very tight shots like the bodega scene. That shit is insanely good the reflection looks like a damn real life door opening. I'm shook lol
So am I wrong or are those just reflections?Ok so yesterday i told i would pick 60fps over raytracing cuz so far i didnt saw any example of raytracing that impressed me. I change my mind.
🤤these actually look even more physically accurate now as compared to when we captured the footage.

Works for me because I hate Bachata. Give me Salsa or Merengue any day.The lack of Bachata playing in the background of the bodega and no clanking of a spatula hitting a flat top grill detracts from this scene. 9/10. lol

well damnn, 60fps for 2nd play through lolthese actually look even more physically accurate now as compared to when we captured the footage.
I will probably 100% the game in fidelity mode and then do a new game plus in 60FPS doing only story mission to try it.Whew, that reflection GIF. I wasn't gonna pick the 60fps mode anyway. The eye candy is too good for me to pass up.
Wat. Whew got damn.these actually look even more physically accurate now as compared to when we captured the footage.
RIGHT. AT LAUNCH. And people just thought we'd get puddle reflections. That's also what amazed me. Reflections tends to be used on static object.
Here, both the transparency AND the movement makes an awesome result.
I can't believe we have that level of Ray tracing at launch. Can't wait to see the implementation in Demon's Souls.

Yeah the way the door opened it was real time reflecting as it opened to say pretty much is adjusting on the object in real-time lighting wise vs a baked lighting that would have one consistent reflection throughout that animation. While there are ways to achieve a similar effect and reflect off screen objects and characters without ray tracing (see cube mapped mirrors in RDR 2 and Hitman 2), I've never seen it with this degree of quality or on this scale. I think it's safe to say that these are ray traced reflections.
