So a F2P, squad focused, battle Royale game? That sounds like the last thing I would want.

I've given up hope. I don't think they know how to bring it back without fucking it up at this point.Sigh
The world wants more Splinter Cell, Ubisoft gives us literally everything else

Yes exactly
I expect the full trifecta: mobile, free to play, and battle royale.Let me guess: it's a mobile title. Probably Apple Arcade exclusive.

Also a totally non-political background video about the Cold War and Vietnam.
Arguably going back to "old GR formula" would have them making GR to be very hardcore experience, as it started as spin-off from those old R6 games. Tactical FPS squad game.
But I imagine this means just return to linear arcady FPS experience.

You might be more right than you know. They already have a mobile-game-ready set of Sam assets from that failed Elite Squad travesty of a game. All ready to go.And Sam Fisher will appear in it despite not getting his own Splinter Cell game.
Like, Wildlands the game from 2017? Why would they remake that?

I really wish this would be a proper next-generation version of Future Soldier. That was the last time Ghost Recon felt Ghost Recon-y.
