I don't care that Dan doesn't know *thing*, it's just annoying how often he makes that the focal point of the stream. It's super played out and boring at this point.

I don't think he makes it a thing. I think literally everyone around him makes it a thing by dragging it out and acting SOO SURPRISED and literally just don't tell him the answer. Just answer his question and move on.

There's only one thing you need to do in every New Vegas playthrough:

Slaughter Caesar's Legion down to the last man.

My only regret is not doing this for one (or two?) of my playthroughs.

So just so I'm clear they're announcing the new series on the Beastcast but not debuting it on Friday?

Is Vinny still doing Vinnyvania?

You're right but he clearly says this stuff to get a reaction and he loves the attention it brings. Who randomly says they didn't know that pirates steal stuff even though he likely did know if he thought about it for a second?

My neighbors currently have the brightest light known to man on in their upstairs bedroom, which is lighting up my bedroom like daytime at 1am even with the blinds drawn.

That's how you grow weed right

I've had Duck Boar XCOM on Steam since it was in a Humble Bundle and... have yet to play it.

Something about it having such a small, set party discourages me from playing it.

I see, the aesthetic looks neat so i'll give it whirl

It's good. I recommend not playing on hard like I did, because on hard you are basically forced to cheese to succeed. Otherwise I had a good time with it.
Noted, thx for the advice!

I've been continually impressed by how Age of Wonders: Planetfall has adapted the best of XCOM into its combat engine. It adopted cover and the ability to miss, which both weren't in the previous game, and gave every unit some kind of ability that it can use in combat. This led to every single tactical battle feeling as tense as the ones in XCOM--because units (aside from certain heroes) die permanently, taking with them valuable mods and experience. Using positioning to maximise harm on enemies and minimise it on yourself is what it's all about.

If you like XCOM-style combat, don't sleep on Age of Wonders: Planetfall. The strategic map is deeper than XCOM's, and it is lacking in some tutorials, but even on beginner difficulty it will give you some tense, challenging tactical battles to tackle. It's a GotY-caliber game.

I was having trouble with an early encounter in Mutant Year Zero and then it hit me... I wasn't using a party member's ability to get the party started. It felt so satisfying keeping everyone alive lol

:P
There isn't random loot, right? If so, then some may know where I am

The story/characters have me engaged, surprisingly. I'm really liking the game.

Stealth in MYZ isn't an afterthought - if you're struggling a bit, you can creep around higher level zones and loot much better armour and weapons. Its such a great, unique game - looking forward to playing the expansion.

I was having a lot of trouble with the game until I figured out how to play the game "correctly", had to drop down the difficulty too at some point. Then later on I barely even lost any health.

So, as someone that's not been high on AOW style games in the past this would this be the one to get?

I guess it'd depend on why you bounced off. At times it feels like a really smart remix of Age of Wonders 3, and at other times, a completely new game. But either way, it never lost its AoW-ness with the move to sci-fi.

Just know that the combat (and campaign) are better than they've ever been, and are wholly new takes for the series.

Edit: Actually, I should mention the strategic map has a major change compared to previous games too--now it has regions, kinda like Endless Legend. So that side of the game is also pretty different.

I'm actually probably gonna join them this time cause I've never done it.
And Warren seems dumb enough to do so.

As soon as you get more silenced weapons the game get's much easier
