Trail braking tends to sort the front end out nicely whereas I find messing with the brake bias can destabilise this car more than I'd like.

£180 at Currys at the mo with manual shifter included but that's a load of rubbish. Argos still selling it at over £300

Always socks. Always.Finding Trail braking difficult with my size 12 boats. I noticed Old git drivimg in socks and the bloke on top gear bare foot as well. I have a pair of slip on trainers I use solely for driving games anyone else barefoot or socks?
I actually followed that after you mentioned it on here but it was about 90 miles from me and wouldn't fit in the motor. The assistant at Currys tried to give me the Xbox Variant of the wheel I wouldn't have been happy if I got it home and hadn't noticedYep decent price at Currys at the moment.
I bid on one with a Playseat Challenge yesterday and collected last night, £215 for the lot (retail about £350), all boxed and barely used. The guy had only used it a few times but is moving to a smaller flat so had to sell up. Already have a G29 and WheelStandPro so will either hold those for spares or sell on.

What're these pedals mods?I use spikeless track racing flats (I also use these for real racing as well as I think they are better than real racing boots). My pedal mods make using bare feet or socks impossible unless you like pain.
Good stuff. Definitely see if they will fix it for you for free or even at a low cost. That way you can either have one spare or sell the spare one on.
I thought about this but the serial number is on the receipt and on the underside of the wheel. So honesty is probably the best policymean depending on how the morals go......... he has a two year warranty for a wheel now with Logitech, pretty sure they don't know which one came out the new box lol
You must be pissed if a guy with a controller ever beats you ;-) I like the look of those load cells too but I use footwear mainly because the metal finish on the pedals don't feel good with socksI use all the 3Drap.it pedals mods. Rally/GT one specifically for the brake but also have the F1 somewhere.
I also didn't like the feel of the smooth metal so I bought some new pedals and created a simple mod that you use the standard alan bolts to secure to each pedal then bolt the new pedals to that. That could do with some refinement though as its just rough cut sheet plastic with 6 holes drilled in it.
Also did the silencer mod where you just put a material underneath where the pedals hit the plastic.
I'm thinking I might make a dead pedal next and change the pedal housing.
For the gearbox its the 3drap one with the grooved cover but with two extended bolts so I can chuck a band over it quickly if I want it to work as a sequential gear box.

I'm happy with my footwear, was just curious what everyone else did. The inverted pedals would make a massive difference though and im currently just using a dining room chairs so not ideal but I make it work. Finding a seat that supports my 120 kilo frame and is also portable is a bit of a missionMate, I'm size 13... All I can tell you is that your seating position and the distance that the pedals are from you are all important. I also use shoes and I have my pedals set up in the inverted position so its a lot more natural in terms of the motion my feet are making as its pretty much as it would be when driving a real car. This is how I'm set up in the corner of my office/study (my wife tells me I can't officially call it my man cave as its technically just the spare room... Hence I still need a fold-away solution in the Playseat Challenge):
So i have the seat set up so that the pedals are as far away as possible and the seat is set to one of the lower positions that it allows with the velcro straps. I use an old pair of trainers that have a very thin sole so that I can still get decent pedal feel (even though these pedals aren't the greatest). I just can't do socks or barefoot. It doesn't feel natural to me, my brake pedal is set to a very firm setting with the mod that came with it and my feet would slip off the pedals due to the plates being metal.
So I'd suggest looking into your seating position/solution first and then the footwear/hardware side after.

Forgive my ignorance, but what does the brake pedal mod give you? In what way does it enhance driving?I use all the 3Drap.it pedals mods. Rally/GT one specifically for the brake but also have the F1 somewhere.

Also, what's a "dead pedal"?
To me it looks like much more resistance on the brake pedal, less travel and more realistic feel. No idea what the dead pedal is thoughForgive my ignorance, but what does the brake pedal mod give you? In what way does it enhance driving?

Ah, not heard it called that. I just call it a foot rest.It basically acts as a foot rest to the left of the pedals. There's always one in automatic cars.

I might just do that when I have the time. I have some time off next week :-)You can invert the G29 pedals if you don't mind a bit of a DIY project. You have a spare set for some experimentation now!
I see that but don't know how it will stand up to repeated use. I may give it a go though
3 consecutive clean races in sports mode.
Back up from C/B to B/S after a rage quit and an unintentional disconnect. Was supposed to have a quick practice at Brands but sports mode sucked me back in.
Heres a quick 2 lap tussle for a podium finish. Was waiting for him to shove me off when I went for the pass or dive-bomb me when I went I front.
will be patched on Monday: http://community.eu.playstation.com/t5/GT-Sport/Regarding-Patch-1-16/m-p/25614717#M172393Is there a solution to the FFB settings not saving?
I don't understand how this game seems to be getting more buggy as time goes on. Its like they want to give PCars some competition :P
Nothing but Skylines and variants on Northern Isle? What a crock of shit.

Surely you'll forgive me for not considering it being an April,Fool's?

In my defence, it's 6th April and the middle of the night cos I can sleep due to being ill at present. Doh.
That 26GB thing was a mistake. Though I'm sure the next 26GB patch won't be.
I watched this this morning and that shot at the end with the massive gaggle of Skylines in the background is still making me chuckle every so often :D
I'm surprised we don't have autocross layouts of Northern Isle yet. They're be a good excuse to drive Gr. B cars.

First Super GT race of the year is about to start, complete with full English commentary.
When I was working on the hood I noticed that those two hood pins are not perfectly symmetrical, just like in the real car (the pin on the right slightly overlaps a triangle, while the other barely touches it). Crazy attention to detail from PD, they could have just mirrored it.
