Does GTA$ also turn into chips or are they completely seperate?
I'm asking because it can be just another motivation for hackers lol

Reality became GTA tier anyway with Donald and Boris, so the game is just flipping things around.
You buy chips with GTA money you earned (or bought).Does GTA$ also turn into chips or are they completely seperate?

Exactly.
Apparently if something ever involves real money in any capacity, and any amount of random chance at any point, to any end, even if the initial purchase was clearly defined, it needs to face the same strict regulations as casinos.Shhhhhh all you're going to do is get people to request bans on these:
Let's take it next step, allow users to do in game gambling on matches with NBA2K points (purchasable for real cash) and 2K would take a cut of that or be the bet dealer. Let's go!
Thanks. I was just wondering if they'd finally put a stop to hackers, which I'm guessing they haven't. They can detect them obviously, but it's probably never going away. oh well
Can you elucidate why? It's literally a criticism the Dutch Gaming Authority gave in their report.
It's all against dealers like a real casino. Black Jack, Roullette, 3 card poker. What games are available at the casino? Can you play poker against other players? Or the computer?

When I saw this I assumed basically you could gamble using real cash to buy in game credit to gamble with. Just because you can't transfer that back into cash doesn't mean it isn't gambling. Authorities around the world need to clamp down on this with thunderous force.
How many age verification checks are Rockstar gonna carry out here...? Meanwhile in my job in a betting shop I can lose my job, indeed get a criminal record, should I be on duty if an underagers slips in and gambles on a machine.
That's in the new update.
Googling games is usually quick and easy.
Oh... I am behind the times I guess. This timeline sucks!
You don't pay real money for chips. You buy chips with the GTA$ which you get playing the game. You can also pay Real Money for GTA$ with Shark Cards.Wait, so you pay real money to buy chips...but you can't cash them in for real money?
Isn't this just stealing?
Is there a game with micro transactions that lets you cash out?Wait, so you pay real money to buy chips...but you can't cash them in for real money?

Maybe EVE? And I think WoW lets you use gold for game time now? And I guess PUBG and maybe Dota let you sell hats for store currency? Is there a game with micro transactions that lets you cash out?
It really does feel like they're testing the waters.Thats kinda crazy tbh.
Getting scared of what they will try to pull off next-gen with GTA VI.
Chuck E Cheese or equivalent at least lets you cash out your tickets for stale candy or other junk.
Perhaps it's technically legal because of this, without money going both ways? You're agreeing to throw your money into a pit with no chance of recovering it, so that's what makes it not legally gambling? lol
GTA is PEGI 18+.
There is nothing wrong with it. If adults want to spend money gambling in a videogame they can do it.
Do i like it? Absolutely not. I never spent a single Lira in a videogame. It's just another way to make money and increase profits. Welcome to capitalism.
I'm fine with this. In this context I believe:
State has to provide means to treat gambling addiction.
State has to sponsor awareness campaign about gambling.
State has to provide education to population to pass to their children.
State has not the right to forbid people from gambling.
Honestly you know very little about psychology and marketing if you think you need money to appeal to the addiction of gambling.
In some ways it's actually much worse than Chuck E. Cheese's.There are a couple of things in Chuck E. Cheeses that are based on chance, but the majority of the things you can play in Chuck E. Cheeses are based on skill.
In 5-10 years, you'll probably regret that wish. And the game isn't FTP? Lol
Please god let the government regulations start already
Online gambling has one of the biggest GOP donors rallying against it in Sheldon Adleson. Online will most likely take a while to catch up to it's in person counterpart.gambling is becoming more and more legal everywhere in the USA, not less
Value is subjective and people find high value in winning new virtual items like cards, cars, costumes and high grade versions of characters. That isn't what I said. If you're not winning money (or something else of monetary value), it's not gambling. The fact that there are similarities between the psychological effects doesn't mean that virtual gambling (with no monetary rewards) is gambling (with monetary rewards). There are angles that make real gambling significantly more dangerous, not just in terms of addictiveness, but in terms of damage to victims.
I don't think the point I'm making is complicated. Those who suggest that it is worse than gambling because you can't win money are missing that this is one of the very facets that makes gambling so dangerous and addictive and it also is one of the things that actually identifies it as gambling.
