I guess Source 2 VR engine being made Free to Use. Considering some of the snippets in teh leaked talk segment mentioned how hard it was to make the engine work perfectly in VR.

Excited to see more and pumped it is for VR! Looking forward to seeing Valve work their magic.
Very excited to finally go back to the world of Half Life. Since I've played through HL2 and Ep1 in VR, and I've been playing HL1 in VR, this seems extremely fitting.

Why would it be exclusive to the Vive, you are aware Valve aren't even partnered with HTC anymore right? lmao

I was, in fact, not aware of that!
Well, that gives me some hope then.
SteamVR games work on Oculus headsets. Oculus games work with HTC and Vive headsets with ReVive. Folks, Google is your friend.
It won't be exclusive to any headsets. Man I feel bad for PR spokesmen.
Baby steps. Better to get back into it by making a side story rather than the one mythical game people have been clamouring for. Good or bad, but it will help frame the next games a lot better.

you can already buy VR headsets for less than $199. You can buy an HP Windows VR headset right now brand new on ebay for $180. If you're willing to buy a used VR headset on ebay, you can find them for like $100.
$99 ~ $150 then? ;)

Man I'd love for them to also announce a HL2 remaster, which is fucked up to think that HL2 is old enough to be remastered
The Dell Windows VR headsets on ebay seem to be going for about $100-$130.
I see one listing for a new in box HP Windows VR headset for $160
so generally around $150 for these headsets.
But would it be an acceptable VR experience for the masses?
Half Life: Alyx has a real Project Milo kinda ring to it. Wish I could still get excited for Half Life stuff.
