I didn't love it. Watched it once and haven't gone back.

I really, really enjoy the world-building in Star Wars. I like exploring new planets along with the characters. This film had virtually none of that. Didn't most of it take place indoors or on ships? It felt claustrophobic.

I remember some of the character interactions being great and that was probably my favorite part of it.

Enjoyed it! Overall, I continue to think it is a top 5 Star Wars film. I still love the little meta touches, the winks and nods, the complex character development, and just the overall approach of turning some story bits on their head in a sense, but doing it in a way that is also quite faithful to the franchise.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that Rian delivered a film that was in some ways quite unexpected. I love that about it.

It's too long and juggles too many plot points awkwardly but the great parts are truly great. Absolutely love the angle they took with Luke. It's a shame it didn't get a proper sequel.

All I remember when I finished my 1st viewing of this movie is wondering how all the character arcs and plot points will resolve with just 1 movie left.

So my overall opinion is that this is an "okay" standalone movie, but terrible 2nd movie for a trilogy.

I remember having a couple qualms with it after I first saw it (Luke didn't 'have' to die and neither did Ackbar) but I overall loved it. And I'm still utterly baffled why no one else likes Canto Bight as much as me. I was thrilled to see some of those aliens show back up in Andor, of all places.

Nice try with the poll. No. I hated the entire trilogy.

We're talking about Star Wars here, I think you misread that title as "Jurassic World."

Was my least favourite Star Wars movie. At least it didn't hold the crown for long.

While this movie was divisive, i think all of us can agree it was easily the best disney star wars movie and also probably the third best star wars content ever made at the very least

A 7/10 film with discourse that it doesnt deserve (the overly defensive praise and the alt right wing hate)

Definitely the best of the ST

The light speed Kamikaze is one of my favorite scenes in all of cinema. It sounds incredible. I play it over and over on our home theater. I remember the theater gasping during this scene on opening night. Hands down the GOAT Star Wars movie. So damn good.

Seems we all agree the follow up is a turd though

The only reason it's not the best Star Wars movie is because every sequel trilogy movie lives in the shadows of the originals, and that makes it hard to put them on the same category.

So third best after Empire and Star Wars.

It will never cease to amaze me just how bad the script was for the resistance plot in the TLJ. Everything with Luke, Rey, Ren and Snoke was excellent, it just felt like Johnson wrote that script and went shit, what are we doing with the resistance and just shat out a completely plot hole and cliched filled mess. Plus Leia flying, holy shit that was bad.

This is my problem with it. It's really half great movie and half embarrassingly terrible movie. The gulf in quality between the A plot and B plot gives me whiplash.

It's been 5 years. Let the hate go.

It's not a perfect movie, but god damn am I tired of hearing people cry about this and the trilogy as a whole.

As an isolated piece of fiction, it has its merits.
As the middle chapter of a god-awful trilogy that never knew what it wanted to be, it was terrible.

Yes so good.
Remember when Poe Dameron prank called a star destroyer and called General Hux for General Hugs... I still laugh thinking about it.
The Last Jedi was literally full of amazing humor like that.

Yeah, you're not being serious.

What gives that away is the fact that you mentioned the Genosis stadium scene, which basically exists to awkwardly sexualize Natalie Portman by having her shirt magically and perfectly ripped into a crop top, as being better than anything in TLJ.

You saying this is better than anything in TLJ is exactly why I can't take "Attack of the Clones > The Last Jedi" takes seriously.
Funny that you went directly to that small part, when there was a million things going on in those scenes....

I never said that TLJ didn't have any decent moments. But AotC is definitely a more entertaining film.

I love how the poll is a social experiment if people would be more likely to click the first or second option, questioning the validity of "fair polling" as even with different answers, people might still be slightly "inclined" to push the first option more often than the rest because a 87:13 split is barely achievable even with normal poll questions. ... There are studies into this, arent there?

attack of the clones is legitimately one of the worst movies ever made. i can understand people not liking the last jedi (even though i love it) but preferring AotC is an indefensibly bananas take

It was brave and exactly what the trilogy needed after the playing-it-safe Force Awakens. It's a shame Rise of Skywalker completely walked it all back.

That's why I didn't vote, despite agreeing with both options.

Good with flaws like most SW movies.
Probably gonna rewatch the trilogy once we have a new SW movie but until then I let it rest.

Andor is the best thing that could've happened to SW though and hopefully it's gonna inspire the next generation of SW content.

Amazing film, my second favorite Star Wars movie.

Shame they couldn't stick the landing, the setup was fantastic.

Luke/Rey/Yoda/Kylo was good.
Throne room was good.
holdo manouevre was awesome

Canto blight was phantom menace 'we need a showy bit' bad.
entire drip drip chase scene was bad and dragged on.
the good and the bad are both cut from the same cloth war mongering was clumsily done
Leia Poppins was audible groan

overall fine. TFA was too much of a retread but had some fuzzy moments; the last movie (honestly can't remember the name anymore) I don't recall any redeeming features. Felt like TFA turned up to 11

I thought it was just ok at the theatre but a rewatch a couple years later made me realise it's the best Star Wars movie.

Stuff like this is why the one who are just lukewarm about the movie end up in arguments and on the side of hating on it. Not everyone that hates this movie is some bigot. I will argue against anyone who thinks this is the best SW movie, crazy take.

Pretty much. I don't even hate TLJ entirely, but the rabid fans take every form of critcism as a personal attack on them and Johnson.

When you challenge how the movie mistreats its non-white characters and female characters, they will barrage at you "You're just pRoJeCTiNG" "mEdIA ilLiteRate" et cetra.

Definitely the best of the ST and a good movie overall. It didn't quite stick the landing for me, I feel like there's a way to make the whole ship chase feel more interesting and they didn't manage to land it and a lot of the humour was bad, but I don't think that last complaint is unique to TLJ. The other ST movies are also filled with terrible humour and nothing in TLJ is as bad as Han Solo going "hah is there a trash compactor somewhere we can dump her in?!"

But the Luke stuff is fantastic and in general the attempt to move SW forward in a lot of interesting ways rather than just retreading the OT ground again and again was very good.
