Give me time and I bet you can find more. It is insane to me that people don't get this. There are racist black people. There are racist white people. Is it really so shocking that they might marry? Is it shocking that your lover might have so internalized the racist expectations blared at them since infancy? It's ridiculous.

Absolutely. The amount of times I've heard "I can't be racist I've got a *insert minority* spouse" or "if I was a racist why would I date/marry a *insert minority* person" is ridiculous.

Its like okay? Just because you like that one person doesn't negate the fact that you say hateful shit about everyone else from their group.

According to some of the shit I've seen here and various other forums, having a partner of a different race basically makes you a fetishistic monster. Surely white women only like black men because of that Mandingo, or white men like asians because they watched The Last Samurai and said "mmm yeah, gonna get me some of that".

The only way to tell if someone is an awful person is to look at how they act and what they say, end of story.

But it is a fact that many people do try to hide behind their relationship with a minority to justify their racism

Dude was a tech editor/columnist for Breitbart. He's well known for being a "far-right provocateur." He was essentially a professional asshole who sold books via controversy. He liked to bitch about immigrants, black people, latinos, liberals, feminists, and jews. His fall from grace occurred when a podcast from a few years ago revealed him talking about how grown men molesting 13 year old boys wasn't necessarily a bad thing. #justNAMBLAthings

After that someone leaked a bunch of his work emails showing he took opinion pieces from all sorts of crazy right wingers, including professed white supremacists, and watered down the racist language to publish for Breitbart. Also his email passwords were straight up Nazi references, like kristallnacht37.

Then there was that video that showed him singing karaoke with Richard Spencer and others throwing nazi salutes ten feet in from of him. "I'm myopic, guys. Seriously I couldn't see them do it!"
