Yeah, you're right. Most likely 30.
This.If you have friends that are interested in playing Borderlands 3 with you, get Borderlands. If not, get Astral Chain and pick up Borderlands later.
Borderlands is much more likely to get a GoTY edition later down the line with all the content and a cheaper price than launch, whereas a Nintendo-exclusive is bound to be full-price for a while, potentially indefinitely, making it a "safer" day 1 purchase.
Was about to say just this. Borderlands with equally excited friends to play with is super fun.If you have friends that are interested in playing Borderlands 3 with you, get Borderlands. If not, get Astral Chain and pick up Borderlands later.
This right here. Just wait until both release to make an informed decision.be a smart consumer, wait for the reviews of both games from multiple sources and make an inform decision of which game you would get the most value out of, and don't pre-order either.
BL3. It'll be the bigger game, and you want to get into online/multiplayer focused games as soon as possible. It's also a known property. So if you're deciding between the 2 before they launch, you pretty much know you're getting a game that'll be in the running for goty.
BL3 being another BL is an absolutely wonderful thing.Astral Chain by a mile. It's a new IP, looks fresh and exciting. BL3 looks like another BL (not to mention it will be discounted in like a month or two).
This. Also, lining Randy Pitchford and Take Two's pockets with a full price launch purchase is no bueno. Get Borderlands 3 used.Astral Chain, the community for Borderlands 3 wont' go anywhere and if you wait. You'll probably be able to get the game with all DLC for cheaper too.
Explain how Borderlands 3 has had a troubled development, and no, Randy shitposting on Twitter doesn't count
I think the circumstances around the head of the company do count and the publisher calling private investigators on an excited fan count, and the accusations of the former second in command and former voice or claptrap (the same person) totally count.Explain how Borderlands 3 has had a troubled development, and no, Randy shitposting on Twitter doesn't count
That's more public affairs then development.I think the circumstances around the head of the company do count and the publisher calling private investigators on an excited fan count, and the accusations of the former second in command and former voice or claptrap (the same person) totally count.
Anything else I know I can't comment on, but I think those three things absolutely count.
I think Borderlands 3 will be a fine, if not good video game, but saying the development hasn't been troubled is naive.
Bro, you realize it was Take-Two who did this, right? Not 2K (the publisher of BL3) or Gearbox... I highly doubt the folks at Gearbox even knew about SupMatto until this all happened. After all, Take-Two did the same thing to a GTA V modder back in 2016. This absolutely isn't indicative of a troubled development at all, more a company over-protective of their IP (it's an extremely shitty thing to do and I'm not taking their side here)publisher calling private investigators on an excited fan count
David Eddings left the company in March of 2017, this was when Borderlands 3 was leaving pre-production and likely entering full-scale development by Gearbox Quebec and Texas together. Again like my original post states, this is more of a Randy thing than an actual indicator of a troubled development. In an industry where workers are forced to work 100 hour weeks or face being fired, this ranks super low in the troubled-development-ometerand the accusations of the former second in command and former voice or claptrap (the same person) totally count.
I said BL3, but this logic is sound. Astral Chain is the correct choice in this scenario.BL3 will go cheaper faster, as Astral Chain is a Nintendo game.
So Astral Chain.
Astral Chain comes out first.
Get that, beat it and sell it. Then get Borderlands 3 when it comes out 2 weeks later.
