It's like that achievement in L4D where you only get it by playing with another player who has the achievement and originally only the devs had it and they just started spreading it throughout lobbiesThat seems like such a weird thing to do without actually having officially revealed the game.
Be wild if it didn't.
I wonder how long until someone starts streaming this on Twitch...
First thing I thought of when people were talking about shooting souls. Maybe I've watched to many Nerrel videos...Be wild if it didn't.
Am I nuts or does it seem like gyro controls would be great for this?
I'd have to imagine any new title from Valve that's not VR should have full Deck support.
You'd assume so, but Counter-Strike 2 is not in a great state on the Deck.I'd have to imagine any new title from Valve that's not VR should have full Deck support.
Strangely enough, Valves own games are very inconsistent on the Deck. So I'd not bet on it.

One of the leaks showed it running great on Deck, but things like menu controls aren't there yet.
I can't see it. I think everything Valve does is in service of Steam including game development.I do wonder if this could get a console release though, with cross play and all.
The steam db listing shows one of the directories for this game being labeled "citadel"
So is this what citadel happened to and up being? I thought that was a hybrid VR tower defense type thing lol

Someone submitted me for approval. I better get on or I will stop funding Gabe's yachts. Yeah, that'll show him.
I was told wave 2 probably isn't happening today.Yep, me too, just waiting (praying) for either a 2nd wave today (doubtful) or one tomorrow. >_<
It hasn't been announced. It's been said a few times but basically there isn't technically an NDA on it, but it's more of a "gentlemen's agreement" or what I call a "DBADA (Don't be a dick agreement)".
Yeah, it seems that Citadel became Neon Prime and then Deadlock. The steam db listing shows one of the directories for this game being labeled "citadel"

iirc the first few people were valve specific invites and slowly friends of friends were invited, and suggestions were just added to the main page of the game for anyone to invite whomever they played with and if they got approved then they'd get a key a few days later.People in the alpha "being able to invite people" makes a lot more sense if it means Valve gets to approve/deny each request vs Valve just giving out codes for these people to hand out to randoms
Giving out codes to distribute for a game that doesnt even officially exist yet would be insane lol but this whole leak cycle is crazy so what do I know
Oh the form is for anyone to get in at any time and the gift bot is separate?Giftbot Invite and a Google Form to sign up for a chance at invites in the other thread here: https://www.resetera.com/threads/de...d.881283/page-6?post=123490341#post-123490341
Good luck!
Thanks for doing that, signed up through the Google Form! I don't like doing the whole key begging thing so I appreciate you going through the work of setting up something like that to apply to get picked.Giftbot Invite and a Google Form to sign up for a chance at invites in the other thread here: https://www.resetera.com/threads/de...d.881283/page-6?post=123490341#post-123490341

Oh ok thanks for thatThe form is tonight only, just it isn't RNG and I will hand pick several people.
Every time I see "New Valve Game", my heart skips a beat. We're never getting L4D3, are we? Sigh.

They probably didn't want it to leak but once it did they probably figured there was no need to fight it so they just let it goI'm wondering at this point if all the leaks really were intentional as a form of marketing.
Many of the videos uploaded to sites like streamable are still available to watch, and the big summary video on Youtube has now been up for over 2 full days.
Either Valve is completely apathetic about leaks or this really was a controlled marketing campaign.
Do we even know how many people (outside of Valve of course) are even in this thing? Is it enough to turn this into an invite begging thread?
