Some of the 3GS photos have a weird retro charm to it lol. Especially the pheasant one. Nicely done!
I agree, there is something that works about the 3GS pheasant photo. But that is a great comparison!

Nope. It doesn't work as well as you think it does. IME.That's because optimise only does anything if you are low on space.
"Taken on iPhone X"Why on Gods green earth does the home bar show up on screenshots?!
That's funny, I'm at 158.7 GB used.I'm on a 7 Plus and my storage is at 158.8 GB used. You 64 GB people are INSANE.
Not a chance. My 32GB device was awful and I knew I'd stretch 64GB eventually. I take a lot of photos. Apple Photos is not a good app with which to use cloud storage. Google Photos is far superior. Somehow, Apple Photos still use a solid amount of device storage space, even if optimize is on.
I'm aware. It doesn't work like you think IME. My phone would regularly run out of storage space even with optimize on. And Photos would be taking up 10+ gigs.Apple Photos shrinks down the cache when you need disk space so it shouldn't be an issue, you actually want to have it take up as much free storage as possible so that you don't always have to pull stuff from the network

You can use Google Photos on your iPhone. I do. But it's not as elegant on iOS, obviously. Also, it's a total PITA to mass download Photos from Apple Photos. I ask anyone to counter my point to go ahead and try it. When I want to export photos to put on another backup, I can't. Terrible.iCloud storage is one thing that's keeping me from definitely wanting to switch back to iPhone. Unlimited Google storage for photos is great.

Kindly explain the process over Photos because as far as I can tell, and as far as Google searching is doing, I'm not the only one with this issue. You'd be a life saver!I download chunks of photos all the time and then export them to Lightroom for use on my site or Flickr. I don't know how it could be simpler.
I should say I do this on my computer because I can't add watermarks on my phone. Or at least that option has always eluded me.
So I'm in Canada and only just learned about the iPhone upgrade program and found I can get the iPhone X from Apple for $50 per month, that seems like a way better deal to me.
Even over 24 months that's $1200, which is $100 less than buying outright. And it includes Apple Care + which would cost an additional $250, so it's more like $300 less. Are there any negatives?
EDIT: wait that's American

It doesn't work at all?Got my phone delivered this morning. The touchscreen doesn't work.
Back to the Apple Store tomorrow!
Have you tried connecting it to a computer and restoring the firmware?Got my phone delivered this morning. The touchscreen doesn't work.

Yes. Rebooted phone, iOS update, DFU and restored a backup. Fault remains.Have you tried connecting it to a computer and restoring the firmware?

Ah, yeah. I've tried that. It doesn't work for bulk downloading. I have to tap each photo individually and one miss of a target and it all resets. I don't know why Apple makes life so difficult. Do you have a better way? Am I doing it wrong? You are talking about Apple's Photos, correct? I just go to iCloud.com, select all the photos I want in the Photos section, and hit download.

I'm getting my mom an iPad Pro for her bday in a month and I'd love to wait for a new one but for $125 off I guess it's non negotiable. With the iPads on sale, I kind of want one. But I refuse to go Touch ID anymore.
My 2016 MacBook, too, needs Face ID. It would be particularly awesome on a laptop. Windows Hello says Hello to online shopping with Apple Pay and Face ID.
I just bought a couple of them as gifts. I don't think most people would care, particularly since my gift recipients don't own iPhone Xs. They know no better, like the people saying Face ID is a downgrade. Just no experience with it, heh.I'm getting my mom an iPad Pro for her bday in a month and I'd love to wait for a new one but for $125 off I guess it's non negotiable.
Based on my experience with my iPhone X, that's not normal behavior. Because of that, I don't believe there's a setting for it.When my phone has reached 100% charge on my wireless charger, my phone screen lights up and stays on. I do my charging overnight, so this is incredibly annoying to wake up to. Is there a way to disable that?

Walmart has a deal where if you purchase an iPhone X (also includes 8/7) you get a $300 giftcard but its only if the network is AT&T or Verizon.
Just tried this with my phone and the screen does not come on at 100%.When my phone has reached 100% charge on my wireless charger, my phone screen lights up and stays on. I do my charging overnight, so this is incredibly annoying to wake up to. Is there a way to disable that?
You must. The model I want is available for pickup at my local store. I'm an Android guy but always have an iPhone as well and I'm selling my old 6 to my sister to give to one of her kids.
I can also use it as a business deduction.
Basically I have to buy one, right?
I think it's something to do with this specific charger. I just tried a regular charge, it hit 100% and nothing happened.Just tried this with my phone and the screen does not come on at 100%.
Well now with the Walmart deal, an extra $300 off...it would be a crime if I didn't.
