i mean he was???
He was running to the police down that road. The third guy he shot literally videotaped talking to him while he was running and he said he was running to go to the police before the second shootings. He got fell and got attacked when running to them.
I wonder what percentage of people in this thread actually watched any of the videos
Thank you for the correction. Previously I'd only read a written account. Having now watched video footage, allow me to make my question more accurate:
If you're involved in an accidental shooting, the sane thing to do - if you want to maintain your innocence in front of a crowd of strangers, is to first of all disarm, then clearly communicate to those around you what just took place, emphasizing the fact that you are no longer a threat, and then get yourself slowly escorted in the direction of the nearest law enforcement.
Alternatively, after disarming, you can stay in the vicinity of the victim and assume a surrendered position where it is perfectly clear you are not a threat and wait for law enforcement to arrive, communicating what just happened in the mean time as necessary.
What you do not do, under any circumstances, is flee the scene, fully armed, and continue running past crowds of frightened people holding your rifle in front of you like a lunatic.
And when those frightened crowds correctly perceive you as a threat, you do not, under any circumstance, escalate the situation further.
So why the fuck did Rittenhouse do the latter?
