It's noteworthy that AnimEigo was just gearing up to announce a new license and then had to hold off on announcing it for unspecified reasons. After having licensed Bubblegum Crisis, Megazone 23 and MADOX, it's possible they had another AIC license in the works that had to be postponed while this new CEO was installed.
So was the company sold? CEO on wiki is also showing as the owner, or has the owner just stepped back from day to day running?

That's (mostly) Tenchi Universe, isn't it? 'Cause I'm down for more of that.
I really miss the feel of first 11 (13?) episodes of Tenchi Muyo. They were funny and gave a calm slice-of-life feel with the occasional action heavy episode.
Totally disappointed by the later episodes, especially with all the incest.
IIRC, that element is still there since Tenchi is still part of the Royal bloodline, but yes, if my memory serves that aspect was dramatically downplayed in Universe vs the later parts of Muyo.
Well...
I guess it's good that Tenchi seems to have stuck with Ryoko in that continuity.
