But what about the music? That is the most important question. Without the original music I'm not interested.

If they go cheap on the music licensing, they are missing a big part of the cruising around appeal that elevated those originals

I wouldn't expect anything more than what was included in the mobile ports. Sadly. So what's the licensed music going to be like? Are they going to get as much of the music from the original releases back as possible?
Hard to believe since iirc Nintendo doesn't even allow M rated games on their platforms

They could re-acquire the rights for these remasters though. Renewing for the mobile ports does not make sense but having complete soundtrack in the new remasters does.I wouldn't expect anything more than what was included in the mobile ports. Sadly.
Gematsu has heard that there will be some content changes to make the games more suitable for modern audiences.
It's happened twice before.Holy shit if true, GTA on Nintendo...what a time to be alive...

I'd probably be up for it!
Been tempted a few times to buy the Trilogy pack on PSN
They could, but they've kept broadly the same reduced soundtrack for these games through releases on mobile, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC. Some of those have been moderately big releases - the games are each million-plus sellers on Android, for example. Although they could try to renew licensing for the tracks that are missing on these new releases, I think the most probable outcome is that they have a soundtrack that's close to (or identical to) the existing versions. They could re-acquire the rights for these remasters though. That's a shame, thanks for saying though, definitely won't bother even if this doesn't turn out to be a thingI got suckered into it. It plays like the PS2 games with equal jank and visual smear. Nothing at all upgraded except maybe resolution? It's pretty bad.
For people mentioning RDR - you can already play it in full 4K, 4xMSAA, 16xAF on Xbox Series X. It looks and plays brilliant. Remaster really isn't necessary.
If the RDR2 engine hell yea it is since they already have so many assets from the game already made for themFor people mentioning RDR - you can already play it in full 4K, 4xMSAA, 16xAF on Xbox Series X. It looks and plays brilliant. Remaster really isn't necessary.
Can't do that on PS4, PS5, PC, Stadia or Switch. So yes, the remaster is justifiedFor people mentioning RDR - you can already play it in full 4K, 4xMSAA, 16xAF on Xbox Series X. It looks and plays brilliant. Remaster really isn't necessary.
