Bad combat and segmented world design are highly disappointing
His only 2 complaints were how the game looked docked and the shop and how money is practically worthless. He really liked everything else and thought that the bosses are pretty interesting.
Sure but i never saw the segmented design as a negative. Agreed with the combat as it does sound disappointing and they should have made it better it seems.
Old games having bad things isn't an excuse for the sequel to also have bad things.
welcome to the Luigi's Mansion seriesI still don't understand what these games are. Every video I've seen is just walking around and sucking up stuff with a vacuum

God this series is so good.I still don't understand what these games are. Every video I've seen is just walking around and sucking up stuff with a vacuum
You got something against vacuums?I still don't understand what these games are. Every video I've seen is just walking around and sucking up stuff with a vacuum
Nah. I'll keep my expectations highIt's a fun game, but set your expectations at a reasonable level.
garbo game confirmed. It's a fun game, but set your expectations at a reasonable level.
Ah, ok. ThanksI mean there's some combat, boss fights, "exploration", secrets, maybe puzzles I don't remember. But it's a laid back game where the fun is just soaking up the vibe and OCD vacuuming everything in every room to see the animations, etc
Its nice to have segmented design sometimes. Not everything needs to be open all the time though i have always wanted a metroid like 2d mario gameSure but i never saw the segmented design as a negative. LM1 wasn't open in terms of game progression. But it felt open with how the whole mansion was accessible at any point of the game, regardless if you had any reason to return to old rooms or not.
I guess the reason people don't like 2 (and the reactions towards 3) is because the environments feel more contained because of the level design. Even if they (at least 3) share a lot of game progression structure with 1.
Sales =/= quality. Its classic ERA that Dark Moon, the game that was a breakout success and doubled the sales of the original is "disliked". Lol I'm pretty sure most people prefer Dark Moon out in the real world but as usual on here opinions are strangely skewed
im just like need to source him at the very least post his full name so people can look up who he is when people post about someones opinion.I think like that about every single post ever read... including mine haha
Apparently it's a negative that this game isn't open "world" in the hotel the way some of the gamin journalists will say and people here. Its nice to have segmented design sometimes. Not everything needs to be open all the time though i have always wanted a metroid like 2d mario game
Get ready for the reviewers who give it a 7/10 because the levels are segmented lolNo way are the floors going to be interconnected. Clearly meant to be levels in isolation to one another. Can't wait for all the disappointed folks lol

This is a preview thread. The whole point is to care about the opinions of people who have actually played the game.
but tim who the poster never said who he is or where he is from so people know who they are is he was speaking as if we all knew who tim was. Was just making a point we all do not. This is a preview thread. The whole point is to care about the opinions of people who have actually played the game.
Can the whole mansion be considered accessible when there were floors and sections clearly locked off with keys received from level bosses? There's plenty of backtracking, and one might prefer that, but that's different from being accessible at any point.
Luigi's Mansion of the Wild. Clear all 120 mini mansions scattered all over the open world in order to defeat Calamiking Boonon.
Yep, exactly. Perceived as the gold standard based off of a 20-year old GameCube launch title of course. Deal me in for separate levels. Works perfectly well for lots of other action/adventure games.Get ready for the reviewers who give it a 7/10 because the levels are segmented lol
