Next seasons should be interesting on how they set Quake as the de facto main character.
Would love for Hunter and Mockingbird to come back.

Frozen Fitz is out there hanging out in space, waiting to wake up.
The one that froze himself in time to see them in the future to begin with.
Since the team went back in time, Fitz is still in space.
Because in this timeline Frozen Fitz hasn't woken up yet and traveled back to the present day, he's just chilling in space. When Dead Fitz traveled back with the rest of the team, he didn't replace Frozen Fitz, there were just now two Fitzs.
Just like when the team other than Fitz originally traveled forward through time, they didn't replace their (long dead) old selves. That biological matter was present, as seen with Yo-Yo.
The rest of the team jumped to the future the "short way," by instant teleportation. Fitz had to sleep 100 years to go the the future "the long way", so right now he is still sleeping. Just because he woke up 100 year after he slept does not erase the fact that he slept. If you sleep at night, you've alway slept at night, just cause you woke up dose not mean you have not slept.
Fitz then existed in the future, and the whole team went back to the present "the short way" (teleportation), which means Fitz jumps back to a point where he already exists, as is in the process of sleeping 100 years to get the the future "the long way."
The unique way Fitz chose to reach the future combined with the normal way he returned to the present resulted in two Fitz existing in the current timeline. The is no way for Fitz to get to the future without sleeping. He has to sleep to get to the future, so he has to exist to get there.
Think of it this way: if I gave you a time machine and you went back in time 5 years, when you step out of the time machine there will be 2 yous. One 5 year younger you doing whatever you were doing then (Fitz in cryogenic sleep), and one current age you who decided to visit the past (dead Fitz).
I get it now, thanks for the explanation everyone, much appreciated. When they traveled back in time, they are actually jumping into a different but earlier timeline (which explains why there will be 2 Fitz), rather than jumping back into their own timeline.
Can they go and get frozen Fitz? If they do doesn't they mean he never showed up in the future to help them and messes everything up ? Time travel makes my head hurt at times
They broke the loop, the world didn't get destroyed, so Frozen Fitz doesn't need to wake up in 2090 to then go back in time to help break the loop. Can they go and get frozen Fitz? They broke the loop, so Jemma pretty much said fuck it, might as well try, it'll correct itself somehow, etc. etc.

Now, if they didn't break the loop, Dead Fitz survives Chicago, dies at some point before 2090 at which point Frozen Fitz wakes up again and on and on.
But time travel is weird.
With getting frozen Fitz back, we will also probably get Enoch back too!
That future ceased to exists anyway when they managed to prevent the world from shattering by defeating Graviton in the end, so pulling Fitz out of the stasis pod won't be a problemCan they go and get frozen Fitz? They all know about Fitz's death. But they also know that there's another Fitz out there to replace him.
I wonder if we'll ever get a shot of aliens making off with Graviton's body considering there's a hefty amount of gravitonium right there.
S6 being in the summer might be an indication that they can sidestep the events of IW and A4. Which is probably for the best.

Finding Fitz shouldn't be easy, since Enoch had to hide him somewhere no one would find him for 90 years. I doubt he is just floating in Earth's orbit. Enoch could be in "sleep" mode and not know that the time loop was broken.
Honestly that sounds exactly like what I think the plot will be, but I still don't understand why they can't do that same plot but have the show premiere after Avengers 4?
I mean, they could. Nothing stops them from doing that. But the impact is lessened a bit, to me, personally.
We'll already know exactly how it ends up being resolved in A4. While we know it will be resolved, we don't know how until Avengers 4.
I wouldn't be angry but it makes more sense if they line up together.
Unlikely we'll get Mockingbird back since The Orville is getting a second season.I think I need their dynamic back if Coulson and May are both gone for the majority of the season.
Forgot about that. In that case, it does make sense for him to just bring him back or they'll have to come up with a reason for Enoch to not know or someone else find them first, if they want a "search for Fitz" episode or arc. They actually established in the show that Enoch is awake and making sure that Fitz' reputation is strong when he awakens so he can get into Kasius' inner circle.
Between last season and this final, i think it's safe to say that the screenwriters team as a hard-on for the Matrix movies. Cuz' it's not subtile references we see here.
Not that i complain.
Tied up with X-Men rights.
Unless I'm horribly behind on timeline theory, Daredevil is years behind on the MCU timeline. It could still happen.
