I wonder what this means for Knights and Bikes? Announced as a PS4 and PC game, published by DF.
Even Sony did it this way. Seems like a good way..This is the Ninja Theory announcement of last year. Unreal announcement. I'm sad but well done Microsoft. I just wish they'd acquire stuff organically - you know, studios they have a history of working with.
This is pretty funny, since DF has been ignoring MS like this whole gen.
So no more Double Fine on Playstation or Nintendo? Sucks for those who helped fund Psychonauts 2.
No, Psychonauts will still release everywhere.Wouldn't they still get the copies they backed for? Or would MS make them cancel those commitments?
No one is a fan of it.
I think that's why I'm so blindsided by it, has DF put ANYTHING out on Xbox this gen?
Good get, Double Fine are usually always good. They don't own Grim Fandango though right? So I shouldn't get my hopes up of seeing that wonderful world again still.
Well they have a history of calling the shots rather than the game studios, forcing them to do what they want. Why? Even if you won't get an xbox it seems like whatever they publish is xbox / pc.
Now they'll have more budget to play with.
OH MY GOD, YES PLEASE.
Broken Age
Costume Quest 2
Massive Chalice
and recently Gang Beasts.
With that one game they announced with Namco later this year.
Guess the recent input was a hint
Well I guess I'm not playing Psychonauts 2, but I'm glad Double Fine has some security.
It's not even a game. It was alpha level 'gameplay' and they just abandoned it because DF always struggles with managing money.
At least MS won't put up with that.
Ah, yeah. Guess there's at least a little hope they'd be able to get it back now.Disney owns the Grim Fandango rights from the Lucasfilm acquisition just like Full Throttle and Day of the Tentacle
