- KOTH now crossplay;
- New invasions challenges (combo trials, specific character missions - like Kung Lao needing to hit specific targets with his hat toss) - some fights will be optional;
- Can now test DLC characters in the Gateway;
- New moves for certain characters: Geras has a counter to indicate time stacks, Rain, Reptile (long range projectile spit/can cancel out of drop to go invisible), Shujinko kameo (lots of new moves he can steal);
- Ermac is more of a rushdown/cancel character, not necessarily high/low dependent;
- Has his UMK3 fatality as a Brutality;
- The push block seen in the trailer is Mavado specific (not as speculated something being added to every character).
I hope we have a Spawn Armor Break situation on our hands because push block deserves to be a universal mechanic

One very minor, cosmetic thing I'd love to see added into the game is deluxe lizard Reptile skins for the seasons that didn't get them. We got bloody lizard and tie-dye lizard (and cookie lizard for the elf skin) but no ice or fire for the premium skins (the ones that change skin texture and add the elements to the designs) in those seasons.

I have full screen spit now so I shouldn't be too greedy lol.

I don't think there's one thing in the seasonal store I want to grab. That's a bummer.

Sigh...At this point I've accepted the fact that NRS does not want to completely change how the kameos work/are used. It feels like they settled on the "Kameo" idea only because it seemed cool/new to MK (sort of), and not because they had a vision for how the game was actually going to be played with kameos in mind. Such a missed opportunity.
I was hoping they'd let us do some super wacky shit with every kameo. What we ended up getting is full of unnecessary safe guards and too much control over what you can and can't do.

Oh man, terrible invasions skins. We've seen these pallettes already. I was under the impression there were purple, blue and red glowy lightning patterns. They're barely here. Looking at Tanya, she looks like they just re-released season 1 skins. Blah.

Like, why does Reptile have 3 Scrorpion-esque skins in the store during a Raiden inavsion? Come on!

Love Ermac though.

Yeah. Free running with some attack animations and shit to break would go a long way.

And there are cyan/blue pallettes to unlock on the mesas which are far better than the yellow and orange in the invasions store. Not sure what the thought was there.

I'm losing too much on this first mesa at low levels (using Ermac). Not sure I like that.

Goddamn! Two first level losses as Ermac and a second level loss as Reptile on this stupid tower. OK now.

Best way to do d,u moves since you can't use block to prevent jumping? Such a pain in the ass to go invisible as Rep without a cancel and doing the Kung Lao challenge shows how much of a pain it is.

Almost done with Invasions I'm pleased with the rewards this season even better than last. I work for the next week but I can probably finish the seasonal tower next week I'm off for five days!

I'm pretty sure the reason they started putting Order of Darkness seasonal pallets into Invasions is cause the regular ones weren't selling finally the cash shop pays off.

Every character has an Order of Darkness skin option currently earnable some way either through KL or Invasions except Kitana and Reiko.

The Nitara Time Trials are the worst thing in the game right now. A deeply unpleasant experience.
Haven't seen or experienced it yet but they really have a shit sense of fun when it comes to challenges. "It's so hard, can't wait to see people try it and talk about it", I groan.

I can barely get my character to jump diagonal on cue over a stupid spark, let's not get carried away here. How about get rid of timing and health bar gameovers and just score people on their time/performance but call it a day after completion or when the obstacles end.

And I hate the cyborg shit and the exploding and restarting. That ain't it.

While I'm at it, anyone else find the TYM chop animations so unsatisfying? The wind up and action timing seems so off and lacks oomph. It just sort of happens with little impact or effort.

I kinda like how Ermac has that new Reptile look generally speaking. Like they shopped at the same "Not Shirai Ryu" ninja gear shop.

How many Nitara time trials are there? I think I've done three (the last one requiring 4 air charges plus the special move) and so far…not particularly bad and if memory serves, optional?

Credit where it's due, the ninja redesigns in the last few games have mostly been great, we've come a long long way since UMK3.
Great that they all have their own unique designs and playstyles now.
Saying that, I do also want to see them all in the classic MK1-3 duds.
I wish the modelers would also update the look rather than creating hi-fidelity versions of the outfits which just make them come across as stiff and artificial. Like take Reptile's current getup, but make the "V" of his upper body MK2 green with matching fabric coming down the front from his waist instead of the wrap he currently has, and then have green arm and shin guards to complete the updated look while harkening back to the classic design.

Given NRS tends to add various quirks to redos of other retro kostumes, I'm surprised the non-cyborg male recolor outfits tend to be pretty 1:1 when they're brought back. At best, we get alterations like the UMK3 outfits in MKX having the mask overtake more of the cowl.
