The cheeks are puffier than the original, that's why he looks younger.

Imagine that this was some big twist that has been in the making for years.. nutty.
The game is really coming together. That shot of the boat looks great.
Clean or "clean?", haha. I love the grime and the immense details of the dirtiness of the boat interior.
I know you're kidding, but I definitely thought "Ah, we see Lan Di again in this one..."
...but it could be in the same capacity as we "saw" Shenhua in the first game.

I do kind of agree that he looks weirdly younger here, but I think part of that may just be the sort of odd angle we have to look at him.
I always thought that some sort of similarity (specifically Lan Di's scar/Ryo's bandaid) was intentional. Ryo is very much on the path to perpetuating a cycle of violence and becoming like the man he hates if he doesn't come to his senses.
That's because they're brothers. Bank on it.
As for me, please leave the saturation as beautifully delicious as it is currently. đź‘Ś

Playing thru 2 for the first time now in preparation for 3. Can't wait to see where the story goes

Looks more like they're reincorporating the design ideas into the boat ride to Choubu.
Just about to start my replay of Shenmue 2. This gets me super hyped. Can't wait :) Ren and the environments are looking great as well.

Looks like Ryo's face pasted on Lan Di's head. Why are they getting so many things so wrong with this game?
Iwao would be 15 when Lan Di was born. Biologically possible, but it doesn't really make sense in the timeline, plus I don't think this game would venture into teen pregnancy.
Also, I just realized I was younger than Ryo when I played Shenmue and now I'm older than Lan Di.
Lan Di isn't Ziming. He's a different character entirely, even if Chi You Men associated.
i was never all that concerned about the graphics, but this is looking good. i continue to be excited for this.
New screens look awesome, especially Lan Di. Really excited to see this in motion with the trailer coming on March 9th!
