I thought it was a pretty good direct. Little Town Hero on October 16th adds to an already packed fall Nintendo lineup (Toby Fox did the music!). Super NES games tomorrow for no additional NSO charge was nice. I enjoyed getting another look at Trials of Mana and Animal Crossing. If Nintendo had ended the Direct with a different game than Xenoblade I think opinions would be a lot more positive. It's a September Direct, though.

I adore Divinity 2, but man, it looks really blurry on the Switch.

Somebody pinch me!!!

What a great Direct!

Highlights for me are:

- Terry Bogard. Not a huge fan of the games but good God do I love the 3 anime/movies.

- More Smash DLC, Nintendo made the right call!

- Doom 64. Oh yes.

- Overwatch. Had my eye on this game since it came out and now finally I'll try it.

- Pokemon looks great. I'm so happy there are robust customization options

- SNES. I mean, it's the SNES. All these amazing games for free (for subs at least...) !!

I woulda loved a Metroid or Mario announcement in the form of collections or remasters though :(

XB Definitive is pretty cool but I was hoping for a sequel or something.

Am I forgetting anything?

Sakurai, only LIGHTLY paraphrased:

"yeah, were still fucking working on this shit. I know right? At some point we realized welll never be able to bring THIS many characters and worlds into one game ever again so we're like just gonna keep adding to this one until we die"

Pretty terrible direct for me. Think it was my worst since before the Switch. Luigi's Mansion multiplayer and Cramorant were really the only highlights for me

Sans costume is gonna make Nintendo so much fuckin' cash. 75 cents to get the costume and one of the most popular songs from the game. That is impulse buy defined

That was an interesting sign off. Basically saying that he might not be with Smash in the future, and it will probably never be this big in the future either, so he wants to make it as big as possible now while he has the opportunity to make the biggest smash game ever. Good luck to the next person who takes over smash haha.

The first half was definitely better than the second. They lost the pacing they had going.

Odd to see how many western developers are jumping at opportunities with the Switch while the Japanese developers are leaving the scraps.

If you guys do not appreciate or respect Sakurai, you are absolutely the worst fans and we don't want you

This has been an amazing Direct. Jedi Knight, Orba Dinn both made me gasp out loud. Animal crossing, LM3, Pokémon all look amazing. Banjo out today is great too. There is honestly too much content to keep track of. This may be my favorite time to be a Nintendo fan. Makes the dark days of Wii U worth (I mean the 2015-2016 drought)

Oh and Tokyo Mirage Sessions is January! So hyped never played it. Xenoblade HD will be fun too.

That brought a smile on my face

Kirby game made Direct ace for me, the Smash stuff was just a mumbo cherry on top

There was some decent stuff in there, nothing I personally wanted though. I'll play Xenoblade and some SNES games.
