The Eurogamer story said it wasn't expected to be revealed for a few months (presumably E3), but there's always the chance that was BS or misinformation.
Still, Diablo probably isn't coming until September at the earliest, since I can't imagine it launching before the online service, so E3 might make sense.
You know Dark Souls Remastered was announced during the mini direct in January? Or are you just being sarcastic and expect it to be in

Since it's at 11 pm CET, it's very likely there's a USK 18 Game amongst the announcements/trailers. German law and all.

IMO, teases like that are great, because it doesn't actually reveals/spoils the game.
Smash, yes. Pokémon on the other hand will likely get its own Direct.
Animal Crossing is for sure a bigger deal than Smash, especially if Smash is just a port
Well, yes, but what is clear is that you don't launch it in a random Direct.
It's bigger without a doubt but Smash fits better with the typical E3 audience.
Animal Crossing at E3 would be filled with comments from HARDCORE GAMERS with '' Ugh, a game for girls '' style stuff.
Pokémon will get announced before E3 in a special event of some sort, The Pokémon Company does its own thing.
If you love Metroid Prime so much, why wouldn't you want it to be ported? Not everyone has a Wii or a Wii U, and the games didn't really sell that well. There's a lot of people that have never played them, and a port is a chance to bring in a new (and potentially larger) audience for the series. This could lead to better sales for MP4 and more MP games as a result. I don't see how a port is any way a bad thing, especially if it was portable, in HD, and didn't have those horrible waggle controls.
As for evidence of it's existence, Emily has said that Nintendo was "pushing for it to happen". I'm honestly not sure how to take that, and it doesn't sound like confirmation that it's happening, but it at least seems like something that Nintendo would like to do.
I wasn't even referring to the Switch as is. Before they localize XX they need to make sure Megaman 11, REmake2, & DMCV all go like MHW and they are undoubtedly working on MHW DLC.
