Yeah, I wished we could look into the alternate dimension where e3 happened to look that up.
Pikmin 3 Deluxe is releasing before November. Technically you were wrong. :P
As far as we know it could mean that they have only 2 games for the year and need to spread the release dates. The fact that they release Pikmin 3: Deluxe in October and not September perhaps means something?
Pikmin is October so you're wrong againRemember when I said no Nintendo games until November and everyone shouted me down?
Not looking so unlikely now is it.
Wait, 11 pages in the last couple of hours.
Did anything happen?
You never had a handheld I guess.Usually we expect having ports in the first 2 years in a console life and it peaks in its third and after, never in my life saw a console getting this much ports nearing its 4th year in the market?
Why are there so many of them here to begin with?lol another wii u port, another chance to bring the Nintendo doomers out of the woodwork

Could it not be something as simple as Nintendo having a plan to release ports whenever development on a title is delayed? Like, the Wii U failed but Nintendo clearly weren't disappointed with the quality of a lot of their titles so they figured that their 5 year roadmap has plenty of wiggle room with these ports in reserve whenever a game needs extra time.
If BOTW2 is severely affected by COVID for example they could bring over the Wii U Zelda ports, or XBCX if the next Xenoblade game needs more time. I wouldn't be surprised if we started seeing some 3DS ports at some point either, they clearly aren't afraid to give their titles more time in the oven now.
2015 all over again thanks to Bakugan and WWE Battlegrounds.
That was my reaction to the Pikmin news too, but apparently, there might actually be a Direct somewhere.
I don't want no Deku scrubsI knew this thread was special the moment I copy and pasted most of it. Just takes the right title (Lichtsang) and a bit of TLC.
Gotta learn to stop chasing waterfalls.
Give us that sweet release NintyI'm gonna go out on a crazy limb and say that Metroid Prime Trilogy is finally coming this year...
I'm always out on this limb, and I think it's about to break. 😭
God, I'm starting to regret having come back to Era. I thought it was just me, but it just seems a majority of people around these forums are vehelmantly anti-Nintendo. What would otherwise be pleasant news with Pikmin 3 instead gets lambasted instead of praised. There wasn't even any hype surrounding it...
Now I understand that there's a reason why they didn't do a June Direct.
You've gotta be fucking kidding me with these goddamn ports, Nintendo.
Now the only game on Nintendo's release schedule is another WiiU port in October, two months from now. Come on.
As much as I'd love this, we're not getting any 2021 announcement until 2021.2020 can be disappointing, but show some of the big 2021 games and I'm hoping getting a Mario direct will do that
Although it sucks for us, if that was the plan, I can't say it's a bad plan. Everyone is talking about Xbox Series X and PS5 so any game this Christmas is going to have a rough time on mindshare.Pikmin 3 Deluxe got announced via tweet, noted insider has voiced concern that this year's release schedule was the plan all along and that they have no idea what Nintendo is doing
According to Grubb, E3 would have had a big Mario theme for the anniversary.I'm trying to picture what Nintendo's E3 Direct would have looked like if it hadn't been for the pandemic - do we think Paper Mario, plus 3D World Deluxe and the Mario collection, and basically not much else? E3 would have been more of a Mario celebration than a general look at games coming out during the year?
I figure incurring losses and having limited profits during the Wii U era - as well badly getting HD development wrong before that - has repercussions that last through to today. The headcount is something like 1200 higher since early 2017, so the rate of expansion is notable but has also only accelerated once Switch was on the market. There's obviously no clear breakdown on how much of that is EPD recruitment, but it seems to me Nintendo only felt confident enough to hire more aggressively once they had transitioned to Switch and were confident it would succeed.Maybe NCL should've grown their studios at a faster rate and much earlier. Everyone is making HD games now. No more 3DS.
Almost 3 months tbh.Now the only game on Nintendo's release schedule is another WiiU port in October, two months from now. Come on.
I doubt it. I expect the next character to be out on October or sooner. If they have a non-specific Mini Direct this month, trailer will be there. If they don't, I can see them announcing it during a Sakurai Presents video a week before release.I wonder when the next smash dlc trailer will be up. Maybe we'll just get the next one end of the year and a bunch next year or 2022.

Even going by this logic it's disappointing Nintendo didn't set up more third-party partnerships for this year. Without them the Switch would be kinda barren in terms of Nintendo releases in general. It's pretty obvious it's been a great way Nintendo's filled the release gap that's come as a result of longer development schedules.
Don't worry, the other 2 games coming later this year are ports too.
This is a sad year for the Switch and a strange one for Nintendo.
Usually we expect having ports in the first 2 years in a console life and it peaks in its third and after, never in my life saw a console getting this much ports nearing its 4th year in the market?
its not about covid19, thats the lineup since the beginning of the year, with only 1 consloe to support and with all the success its having!?!? what is Nintendo doing with it? most games are even not developed by Nintendo? "Smash, Fire Emblem etc"
just by looking at Wii U Nintendo games and the Switch lineup it makes me wonder what in the blue hell Nintendo doing on the Switch.
Sounds like 2018. Just Switch AC with Smash.Great. Can't fucking wait. What a terrible year this has been for anyone not interested in Animal Crossing.
I love video games.
I love Nintendo.
but I just don't care if they have large gaps of empty release schedules. I'll give them money on stuff I want whenever they decide to release it lol. At the end of the day, that's it, just me waiting to give them money on some cool games. Pikmin 3 is nothing to me so I'll just wait some more lol. I can't get mad.
