I know four LP-ers who wish they could say that.
I'm getting a little worried about Monolith Soft's new IP actually being real. Someone on Twitter was telling me that wasn't concept art for a new IP and that it was just a basic recruitment for people to join Monolith kind of like the 3DS art they had years ago.
It just doesn't seem to make sense though when in the description they talk about "an ambitious project different from Monolith's brand". That seems clear cut and Zelda is a separate category still. If it was Zelda then they should've taken it down. It's hard to see it as a general recruitment page and would be disappointing if there's no new IP coming
It's pretty obvious that monolith is working on disaster day of crisis 2.
After Bravely Default II anything is possible!
He seemed to have information on Monolith Soft. He even said Honne said he put that out as recruitment art and it's not indicative of a new IP is coming.I wonder how you came across this tweet chain lol
Anyway, we know from the Takahashi-Hashimoto interview that Monolith was working on/planning a fantasy action game back in late 2016. Also, the company went through an unusual growth period between August 2017 up until October 2018 (announcement of Production Team 1's RPG). I doubt all the new hires were for the Torna DLC. Couldn't be for Zelda either since the recruitment for that project went up in March 2019.
I'm sure the project has existed in some form, but whether it'll ever come to fruition or not...it's tough to say. I'm personally not 100% convinced that we're getting a new IP. It does seem like this guy has some idea of what's going on behind the scene at Monolith, so I would take his word for it.
On the bright side, this person also shared that XCDE is being worked by a small list of staff members. He said that he was given a much larger staff list for Takahashi's team. It's why I'm fully anticipating a new Xenoblade game in 2021, 4 full years after Xenoblade 2 (3 years if you count Torna).

Idk how this person has Monolith information, but it does make me think there is no new IP and it probably was another recruitment advertisement...which sucks. Had so much hope for a new IP. Of course it could still happen, but it's dampened. Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition next year and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for 2021 is basically where I'm at.
I hope they get to make a new single player IP one day.
Is there any proof at all that that person knows anything?I'm getting a little worried about Monolith Soft's new IP actually being real. He is someone on the Internet, how much do you need?
And is there proof that that stuff is in any way real? He's been given access to the storyboard scenes for all of the Xenoblade games at least. He's also shared names for specific animated cutscenes from the Xeno games, which isn't public knowledge.

KID ICARUS UPRISING 2 LET GO WOOOOOO.
how is that any worse than an OT that's not made by a human. time has passed by people so much that they haven't realized animals have thread-posting privilegeshow does it feel knowing that each OT has been made by a successively younger poster? pretty sure OT4 is gonna be by a five year old
Pretty sure the first thing he's working on after Fighter #5 is Fighter Pass Part 2.Hopefully that's the first thing Sakurai works on after Fighter Pass #5

Doubt it tbhThe guy knows some people who work at Monolith Soft. He's trustworthy
Maybe we can sneak in uprising 2 as a smash dlc...Hopefully that's the first thing Sakurai works on after Fighter Pass #5
Before XenoblaDE was announced he was talking about wanting a Xenoblade Chronicles 1 remaster. There's no way to prove an insider's legitimacy. That goes for everyone including Zell, Emily, etc. (I trust these people btw). Based on the stuff that this person's shared, he seems to be legitimate. I'm of course cautious about him, but I'll fully trust him after I see the credits roll for XCDE.
IIRC, he hinted at MS being involved in a different project that he was excited for (not Xeno). He shared a picture of Ganondorf a few days/weeks prior to the announcement of BOTW2. Whether that's considered inside info, I can't say...
We know people like zell and Emily are legitimate because the information they have shared has turned out to be true. I just don't understand why this person is being entertained as an insider when they've gotten nothing right before. There's no way to prove an insider's legitimacy. I wouldn't call any of that a "hint". Zelda is a given and that's well before the job postings went up. as for involvement in other projects, that's too vague given the studio's role since the acquisitionIIRC, he hinted at MS being involved in a different project that he was excited for (not Xeno). I still believe the medieval multiplayer game. the "hiring ad art" angle runs counter to all the times MS have made such art. there was even one that came out the same time, which I'm not sure is still viewable on the site
There will be one in january, or February, or maybe even march.Do we have any hints as to when the next Direct will be, or are we just assuming we'll get a January one as usual?
Are you thinking they'll wait until March? There will be one in january, or February, or maybe even march.
Yeah, but no one anticipated a new Zelda at E3. It was a complete surprise.
At that point, we already had King Zell saying a 3d Zelda would land in 2020, so an E3 2019 reveal of Zelda could definitely be an educated guessYeah, but no one anticipated a new Zelda at E3. It was a complete surprise.
they were on separate pages. the medieval game was on a special recruitment page, while this one was a more general hiring page
Give me TWWHD as a holiday preorder bonus for BOTW2 (March 2021 release). After Link's Awakening and with 2020 already looking remake/remaster heavy I'd rather they skip 2020 altogether if they can't release a new Zelda game, even if it's a spinoff.
They're waiting on those 64GB cards for FFXIII Collection. Is square going to finish releasing all their old games or is FF7-12 all we are getting? We are still missing the big ones ff6 and Chrono trigger, I'm really surprised they released secret of mana before Chrono
The gameplay. If it's action rpg or even has online integrationPlaying Devil's advocate here: Nintendo has a couple big series with fantasy/medieval themes, including Zelda and Fire Emblem. Would Nintendo approve Monolith's new IP? What would set it apart from those series?

As we come to a close for 2019, do you think this year was better than 2017 for Switch?
