What the...
I think that is very intentional. Red on blue looks just a bit tacky. It's not like the OG model where the joycons are at least separated by the screen.I feel like I would've gone with blue joycon so that it was red and blue in portable mode. And make the grip red so that it's also red and blue then.
As it is, when you're playing in portable mode it's just all red.
I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen more of unique Switch designs like this from Nintendo.
So far it appears this may be yet a THIRD shade of red, despite the previous red being described in Japan as "Mario Red." I'm trying to figure this out myself as I have a full, nearly-complete set of joycon (just missing those awful Thunderbolt Project ones, and the dev blacks) and a crippling addiction.Yoooo are those the red joy cons from Japan/SMO bundle? I have two sets of those and they're absolutely gorgeous and make my Switch feel iconic as hell, so I'd be buzzin if there was a larger stock now for me to get replacements in future.
I mean, considering when this is coming out, I think one can assume that next revision that people are hoping for ain't going to out for a good while. At least that's the impression I get.
Yeah, that's what it really is. The blue is just on the accessories, which are used for support, like Mario's blue overalls.
Exactly. I would get this if not for the potential Pro :(I love the design, but since Switch Pro is hopefully at some point this year, ill wait.
Japanese website says it a special design when the old one has a Red and Neon Red as their name

Don't mock this beautifull profession interactive entertainment device.
There are people who have spent more than two years "waiting for the Pro because it will be there shortly".
The US Odyssey Switch Bundle from 2017 had its case officially available separately in Japan (similar to the Odyssey Joy-Con), which was once importable to the US for a reasonable price. Maybe that'll at least happen again.
I mean, shure, for those that dont have one... but if i have one, i dont see a point in buying a new version if its not a pro? =DThere are people who have spent more than two years "waiting for the Pro because it will be there shortly".
I mean in the fisher-price sense. Most video game consoles look a little more sleek than that.
Yeah, but it's still funny to read the same posts now as a year ago with the Animal Crossing edition.I mean, shure, for those that dont have one... but if i have one, i dont see a point in buying a new version if its not a pro? =D
