Nintendo scrubs name of Male Byleth VA from Fire Emblem Heroes (VA has been recast - see Threadmark)

Something tells me NOA caught wind of all of this before the whole mess blew up. I wonder if the rest of the voice actors announcing themselves early beforehand had anything to do with all of this, because normally voice actors on Nintendo projects don't announce themselves until the game is actually released.
He broke his NDA about this months ago didn't he? Seems more than possible that they had this in mtotion and just didn't get the change implemented until now, regardless of if/when they found out about the misconduct.
But I dunno if they'll put a patch into Three Houses. I have to guess that the circumstances of updating a constantly-updated mobile game with a character who has all of 10 fairly short lines is a bit different than updating a console game. And I know Byleth is mostly silent, but I Think he does still have assorted lines and grunts to redub.
Unless I'm mistaken, Patrick Seitz is the ADR for both Heroes & Three Houses. If Zach recorded for Heroes, he likely recorded for Three Houses at around the same time. At this point, it's more of a when than an if.
Didn't Azura's voice actress break NDA by announcing herself too early back then for Fates prerelease?
In Rena's case, I feel like it was a genuine mistake that NoA could more easily forgive. Chris on the other hand broke NDA multiple times on top of his multiple instances of sexual misconduct.

Pretty much. If I were a HR person I would be far less forgiving to someone with repeated infractions, let alone one with reports of misconduct.
Only in Heroes. Three Houses remains to be seen, but we can conclude Nintendo is not fucking around when it comes to this.

Zach probably recorded Byleth's Three Houses lines as well given that Three Houses & Heroes (to my knowledge) share an ADR. At this point, it's a matter of when Zach's lines can be patched in.
Hell yeah, he was awesome as Koichi. Now I hope Byleth actually has some lines in the dlc.
At this point, he'll probably be patched into the base game.

I'm sure/hope he will (need to keep consistently with the dlc) But since Zach is voicing him now, I would be cool if Byleth had a bit more dialogue in the expansion. Zach was awesome in JoJo.

Byleth is a silent protagonist, both male and female have almost zero lines.
Replacing him was the easiest part, good thing he wasn't one of the 3 Lords, he won't be changed easily.
