Don't take this as an attack, but as a self-declared dedicated communist and marxist-leninist I'm honestly a bit surprised you're not more offended by him being a racist fascist. Or supporting a racist fascist party, at the very least.
I'm a materialist- I know that many, many people hold those sort of views and I don't view them as evil fascists, because those people have to be won over to socialism if it's ever going to progress. I think he clearly has rightwing leanings and we could speculate that he most likely has some racist views, but I would need significant proof that he is an ideological fascist. Going on anti-racist marches in the UK, and seeing the sort of Tommy Robinson, EDL supporting counter marches, it breaks my heart- when you actually see most of these people in the flesh you realise how desperately misled they are, and then you see they have their children with them and you see how this ideology is perpetuated.
And yeah, you get a handful of old BNP/NF, or new National Action type proper white supremacist fascists, and they're obviously unsaveable, but within stuff like UKIP/Tommy Robinson/EDL the majority of people aren't like that. The difference between people who hold racist views and people who are ideological fascists may not matter to anarchist/antifa/twitter left people etc, but as an orthodox marxist-leninist it's incredibly important to me. For me, driving a wedge between that space should be the focus of any antifascist programme, or order to cut off the fascist 'brain' from the working class people it exploits.
Fundamentally, I don't think of racism as an individual psycological condition (which is how liberals love to frame it), but as a societal and economic condition.
So yeah, someone supporting Vox is a big shrug from me in many senses, as so many people support Vox, which is kinda the point. But obviously I don't think Nintendo should give someone like that a platform, and Nintendo should make a commitment not to work with any content creators that promote Islamophobic and anti-immigrant views. I'm not outraged by him however as he's just so banal.
I'm also acutely aware that the conditions and relationship to fascism in Spain is very very different to the UK. Support for fascism still lies beneath most of Spain's ruling class.
Obviously I'm talking about this from a UK perspective, before any US people jump on me.
