Just to clarify, it says per Nintendo Account holder. I'm the only one in my family with an actual account. Are accounts and Switch profiles separate or one in the same?
Switch profiles and My Nintendo accounts are different things.

yeah when i looked it up, i was looking at a xbox 360 page, that said you did and assumed it was the same for xbox oneVirtual console could still be announced, it may just be that you pay for other games snes - Wii while nes games are free with the service
Big bold text:No mention of an expanding library or other systems, I wonder if it's *just* gonna be those 20 NES games for the foreseeable future
Read the OP.No mention of an expanding library or other systems, I wonder if it's *just* gonna be those 20 NES games for the foreseeable future
Splitting $35 among randoms is a bit much. We have two Switches. This is a megaton for my family as we expect to buy three more this year.Yeah I can see this taking off, if yall split your family plan with 7 folks that's $4.50 a year split between the 8 of you. I think some of yall can handle that. Hell buy multiple years, everyone chip in $20.
But people would buy it anyway to play Smash Bros and then they'd make more money.
Even if the sub expires?
Yep. Except reports say the quality is terrible (haven't had the opportunity to try it myself).Still a big shame they're sticking to the app. It would've been fine as an option for those who can't/didn't want to use headsets but they really should allow voice chat through the console itself too. I mean, we know it can do it.
Yeah, I thought Nintendo not updating the app would mean they'd have another solution. :(
Free GameCube games for 20$ a year? Don't think soI feel like at this point they should be giving away free GameCube games at a minimum. For those of you you bowing to Nintendo's alter for yet another copy of Mario 3, look at the games Sony and MS is giving away every month. I mean really...
I still don't understand why people are up in arms about voice chat. Is it really that essential to the online play experience to have random tweens yell slurs at you?
Ah my badBig bold text:
The service will launch with 20 games, with new games added regularly.
It doesn't affect me either because I just use my phone anyway.Yeah, I thought Nintendo not updating the app would mean they'd have another solution. :(
This doesn't affect me but it sucks for others who want it and what should be a standard service.
Wait so are they buying or selling pie in this scenario?Nintendo wants a piece of the pie.
But realizes their pie has much worse ingredients.
So it's only $20 per pie.
Or they are charging according to what they offer ill rather have 20$ for some nes games that I might not play than 60$ for some Indies or late AAA tha i might not playNintendo wants a piece of the pie.

I dont think so, family implyes same household same system, tho i might be wrong
Selling, obviously....
Those are just launch titles
They're gonna run out of NES games that people care about really fast, so I imagine at the very least SNES, GB, GBC and GBA will come to this service as well. They're starting with 20 NES and games and adding more as time goes. What will they do with SNES, N64 games though?
Good thing they will be regularly adding more.
Too bad people are ignoring that though.
It says they're going to expand beyond 20 NES games. There's no way it's just gonna be 20 nes games right they're gonna expand on it and add other consoles right.....right
Seriously.... how fucking regressive can you get. Nintendo is so fucking dumb
