No Man's Sky patch 3.15 - "Resolution and performance for PSVR have been significantly improved when running on a PS5"

Havent touched the game in ages. Played 30 mins in vr while trying to remember how things work. Previously found vr intolerable. The Multiplayer space station (anomoly?) used to be a pixelated horrific mess. Now perfectly fine. Flying through space in the ship looked great, but at one point had a bug where every surface in the ship was kind of tasselated. Flying above a planet surface had a crisp resolution but pop in was horrendous.

Im going to give the game another go.

Would love it if all PSVR games got an upgrade on PS5. Max out the native resolution of the headset and then add some nice super sampling on top of that.

As someone who played over a hundred hours before third person came out and has played 200 hrs since I greatly prefer third person except for when I'm in VR. You just get a much better sense of scale in 3rd person imo.

You should. You'll have to start over to understand everything again, but a lot of it's been simplified.

FUCK YES FINALLY

I actually stopped playing NMS and Skyrim as my "regular go-to" VR games because of how incredibly crisp Star Wars Squadrons looks. Hopefully this patch makes NMS look somewhat similar. Does anyone know of any other PSVR games that have been updated to look/run better on PS5? I really wanted to get Hitman III at launch, but seeing how it's supposedly the same on both last and current gen, I think I'm gonna wait a bit.

I don't to be that guy, maybe im spoilt by PCVR and the quest2 but you think squadrons is crisp?

I completed it on PSVR and I thought it was shocking how absolutely blurry evreything was, explosions looked like 2d sprites at times!

Your mind will be blown if you try something like a quest 2 (on pc) or Index

On the PS5, to play in VR you don't need the PS5 version installed at all... just the PS4 version has access to VR mode. This is true for every PSVR game played on the PS5. We'll have to wait for the PSVR2's release to play games natively built on the PS5 in virtual reality.
