Haven't done the full math, but lemme think.
PS5 digital - $400
Xbox Series X - $500
Xbox Series 1TB SSD expansion card - $200 (US Target Circle deal)
Demons Souls - $70
Cyberpunk 2077 - $60
Probably an extra game like CoD, AC:V or Sackboy - another $60

So total probably around $1300. Been savings for this since a year ago or so, so this was within my expectations. I guess its mostly hardware this holiday. My plan for this next gen start is to use Gamepass to get new games on Xbox (e.g. Gears tactics, Destiny Beyond Light, The Medium) and backwards conpatibility to play and finish some games that will get a next gen update (e.g. Borderlands 3, Maneater, Control).

Cant related to the same degree but
RTX 3080
PS5 DE
XSX
Demon's Souls
Spooderman
DMC5SE...

My fiancé is concerned lmao. Technically have a PS5(Disc) Preordered as well but its my roommates since he was at work when they orders went up.
It's all 2020's fault!
Idk when the last time we got, pretty much, brand new everything within about a month of each other. PS5, XSX, AMD 5000 Series, 5G iPhone, Nvidia 3000 series, AMD 6000 series, Sony A7s III (FINALLY). And these shits aren't just refreshes. This year is pretty insane as far as technology

Fuck! I totally forgot all about Cyberpunk 2077, Black Ops, Godfall, and the Sony A7s III....
I'm really gonna regret this holiday season lol

I've been meaning to list all of my purchases for a while.

PS5DE + extra controller = £430
Series X = £ 450
Fifa 21 = £50
Assassin's Creed Valhalla = £52 (Might replace it with Cyberpunk)
Miles Morales Ultimate = £70 (Will purchase this month when PSN website is updated).

Its going to be a very expensive month. But its my birthday next month and I've been working very hard this year, and I haven't been gaming for the last two years, so fuck it man. NO REGRESTS !!

I already bought Cyberpunk 2077 with Steam funds I got selling a TF2 rocket launcher. WoW: Shadowlands and Destiny 2: Beyond Light have already been pre-ordered. I am not buying either of the consoles and the only games I am even considering buying is Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Bugsnax.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is all I'm planning on getting next month, but that's already paid for thanks to the Switch game vouchers. Don't plan on getting a PS5 for a year or two, or maybe wait for a slim.

I've got a PS5 pre-ordered but I'm not actually planning on picking up any games. I'm looking forward to playing Demons Souls at some point, but I'm going to buy it used or during a sale later down the line - 80€ (or $95) is simply not an amount I'm willing to spend on a game. My November game will be Hyrule Warriors.

€0

I'm unemployed for the time being due to the virus so I have to prioritize basic services over enjoyment of life. That said, my brother gifted me a two month sub to WoW I intend to use when the expansion hits.

Yeah, it can be a lot. But considering how big next month list can become for most players, mine will be more smaller. Cyberpunk and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity for me

Well, life did some savings for me this time I guess:
  • Games that I won't play because I am probably unable to buy a PS5 this year: Yakuza, Demon's Souls, Black Ops Cold War. Although I would only be able to play Yakuza next March anyway as that is when the proper PS5 port drops.
  • Game that I won't play because I am unable to buy an RTX 3080: Cyberpunk 2077.
So, I guess I will keep progressing in my backlog until either hardware becomes available. Maybe I'll get Cyberpunk and play it without reflective puddles (my Vega 56 can probably handle the game at 1440p 60fps).

Probably nothing. There won't be any PS5 in stores, so I'll wait one or two months for the 4kTV, PS5 and Demon Souls/Dirt 5/Cyberpunk combo

PS5 - had GameStop trade credit so ended up paying $350 for it
Demon's Souls: $70
Spider-Man: $50
Cyberpunk: $60

I am also going to be on the lookout for the Pulse 3D Headset and might get Sackboy as well.

For sure - roughly $550 with taxes but potentially $700. Yikes.

If I cant secure any of the next-gen boxes then it will just be TV and a new soundbar. If I can secure the boxes then 3 next gens, tv, and soundbar. So somewhere in the range of $4000 - $6000...seeing it typed out...hmmm...the hope is that I can sell rather than give away my current B7 and HW-N950 setup.

I'm possibly getting a Zen 3 CPU and an X570 motherboard in November. I'm leaning towards an Aorus Master, and so probably at least 9000kr.
This November will probably be about twice what I normally spend on game stuff throughout a whole year.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out in November, but so is the jury on its handling of trans topics.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a strong possibility.
Spidey-Miles on PS4 somewhat probable.
Bugsnax a lesser chance.

And that's it, based on Wikipedia's list.
I'm thinking I'll buy at least two of the above.

Would be at least three, if I put Clint Hocking's Watch Dogs up there, but I'm still holding on hope that I'll get a code with my 3080 before it expires.
That way I can also have my cake and eat it in regards to technically not financially supporting Ubisoft.

Maybe like ~50€ for Cyberpunk if it's good. I don't really see anything else relevant in November.

PS5 $500
Extra controller $70
Demons Souls $70
Miles Morales $70

XSX $500
Cyberpunk 2077 $60

So $1270 (approx $1350 with tax).

I've been eyeing up a new receiver as well which will cost another $650.

Glad I got the LG OLED purchase out of the way earlier this year

I'm probably holding off on next gen until Cyberpunk's upgrades and I didn't manage to get a preorder regardless so whatever Hyrule Warriors is costing!

I live in Canada, so it's gonna be rough (this includes taxes)...

Xbox Series X - $690
Xbox Shock Blue Controller - $86.94
Cyberpunk 2077 - $92
COD: Cold War - $113.50

So assuming I end up buying COD, my total is... $982.44 CDN. Ouch.

Looking at spending up to a maximum of £400 on Series S.

Console, play and charge kit, 1 or 2 years of Gold to convert to GPU and maybe Cyberpunk.

I'll either get 2 years of Gold or 1 year + Cyberpunk if it turns out well.
