I have replaced my ps2 drive many time. Once i got rrod on x360 but got it fixed later. I sold my ps4 for pro and I regretted it later. I will wait before buying anything in this november madness. Might get a GPU in Jan as i have gamepass.

And that will be it for a while. Atleast until Monster Hunter Rise comes out.
There are so many games I want to play on Gamepass I could probably go a year without buying anything.

It's seemingly impossible to pre-order the PlayStation 5, and there's nothing being released in November for the Switch that makes me sit up and take notice. Still playing Hades and Paper Mario on my Switch anyway, and they're both respectable time sinks in their own right.
Please don't take this the wrong way, but given that you spend a little bit more time talking about Xbox (in general), I am quite surprised you are going the other way round first!

Oh I don't get this the wrong way. I still have a pretty capable PC so I decided to use that until the real system pushers arrive.
I'm still much more excited about Microsofts Hardware. ;)

Ideally no more than $800 cad after tax. Xbox Series X, one launch game (Yakuza or AC Valhalla?), then I'll grab Cyberpunk soon after.
Obviously there will be more defects when something first goes into production, but how widespread are the issues really?
I've literally never had a system fail, and I usually buy them at launch or in the first year. My launch Switch joycons are admittedly finally starting to drift (although even 2020 units have this issue) but my mid-2007 PS3 is still working flawlessly. No issues with my launch Wii or 3DS either.
Nearly a quarter of a million pounds because I'm buying a house. Already got AC Valhalla from buying my 3700 X and then probs whatever CVyberpunk costs on PC.
