My launch PS4 basically died a heat death

At least that shouldn't happen with my launch PS5, theoretically.

I have replaced my ps2 drive many time. Once i got rrod on x360 but got it fixed later. I sold my ps4 for pro and I regretted it later. I will wait before buying anything in this november madness. Might get a GPU in Jan as i have gamepass.

Series X €500
Three years of Gamepass €130
AC Valhalla €50 (with discount)

So €680.

Might also get Cyberpunk, still undecided if I want to wait for the next gen patch.

And that will be it for a while. Atleast until Monster Hunter Rise comes out.

There are so many games I want to play on Gamepass I could probably go a year without buying anything.

I do want a PS5 when Horizon and God of War are out. So maybe at the end of next year I'll also get a PS5.

Cancelled the XSX because this shit was getting out of hand.

For me it's

PS5
Loading Dock
Second DualSense
Demons Souls
Godfall
A year of Plus

Ouch.

But it's going to be so worth it.

It's seemingly impossible to pre-order the PlayStation 5, and there's nothing being released in November for the Switch that makes me sit up and take notice. Still playing Hades and Paper Mario on my Switch anyway, and they're both respectable time sinks in their own right.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but given that you spend a little bit more time talking about Xbox (in general), I am quite surprised you are going the other way round first!

In any case, lucky you for being able to pre-order a PlayStation 5 ... 🍀

Let me count:

Playstation 5: 500€
PS5 Charging Station: 35€
PS5 Media Control: 30€
Demons Souls: 80€
Cyberpunk Collectors Edition: 230€
Xbox Series X (but not sure if I keep it): 500€
Total: 1.365€

Seems a lot of you count it...

Oh I don't get this the wrong way. I still have a pretty capable PC so I decided to use that until the real system pushers arrive.

I'm still much more excited about Microsofts Hardware. ;)

I will be around 560-700€ depending on what I buy and what discount I can find for games. This includes a PS5. I have sold my Pro for 250€ so I can substract that amount, too.

My partner is buying me the PlayStation 5 for my birthday, so I just need to pay for the Series X and any accessories I need. I have about £80 of PSN credit already loaded from a refunded pre-order earlier this year, so will likely use that pick up Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.

Xbox Series X: £449
Cyberpunk 2077: £59.99
Game Pass Ultimate (3 years, already bought): £85
PlayStation 5 3D Audio Headset: £89.99
PlayStation DualSense Controller: £59.99
PlayStation DualSense Charging Station: £24.99

Total: £768.96

$60 for Cyberpunk 2077 and that's a maybe. Not interested in new consoles with laughable launch lineups.

PS5, extra controller, pulse headset, Dirt 5, Spider-Man, AC Valhalla, Ghost of Tsushima...

...and 1TB extra storage when the first compatible drive releases

... and a HDMI 2.1 monitor, either 27, 28 or 32 inch when one releases.

Expensive few months.

PS5 Console
Demon's Souls
Spiderman MM Ultimate Edition

Xbox Series X Console
Cyberpunk 2077 (Xbox Version)

The Series X is on all access and I have got a good cashback deal on the games. Total spending should be £649 on PS5 launch day with £53 cash back due next year...£28 a month ongoing for the all access plan.

Yeah it's a really expensive month however I have been saving most of the year for this.

an lg cx, the ps5 if I can find one and demons souls. Expensive but I have money saved up so I'm not worried. Probably still going to hurt

first iteration of hardware always comes with some defects or issues. Its better to get a console in second year of launch.
Obviously there will be more defects when something first goes into production, but how widespread are the issues really?

I've literally never had a system fail, and I usually buy them at launch or in the first year. My launch Switch joycons are admittedly finally starting to drift (although even 2020 units have this issue) but my mid-2007 PS3 is still working flawlessly. No issues with my launch Wii or 3DS either.

Nearly a quarter of a million pounds because I'm buying a house. Already got AC Valhalla from buying my 3700 X and then probs whatever CVyberpunk costs on PC.

Just Cyberpunk at the moment, make pick up other games or Sub to Uplay + for months no need to get a next generation console or to real need to upgrade My pc for next few years.

PS5DE
Demon's Souls
Bugsnax
iPhone 12 Pro
Possibly a new house 😅

So either around €1700 or way beyond €500.000

£400 - £500 on games, £900 for the next gen consoles and £1k on a 4KTV.

I've been saving for a while, but I still feel extremely lucky that I have the spare cash to spend on non-essential stuff like this in the current climate.

My ps5 is being bought with credit from previous trade-ins so aside from that it'll be Series X, Pulse Headset, Cyberpunk and maybe some PSN titles like The Pathless, so it'd guess just below £600.

Judging from this topic and similar ones on reddit, Spidey and Demon's Souls are going to sell a fuckton.

I'm considering CP2077, Dirt 5, and Yakuza LAD; to go with the Series X and an external 1TB SSD.

If we get the PS5 pre-orders started by next month, then add that along with Spidey and Sackboy.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity - €42 (€50 if the Spanish cover is shit)
Black Friday sales - €20-€30
Indie surprise €20-€25

Budget: €100

$540 for the PS5
$270 for Cyberpunk (Collector's Edition)
$70 Spider-Morales

Luckily I paid for Cyberpunk months ago so I don't have to really count that towards monthly spending.

At the moment I'm not planning on spending anything, but if I cave... probably somewhere in the region of £3k.

New TV, new amp, new sub (maybe), PS5 and a game or two.
