Reached for comment, a Sony spokesperson told Polygon that the change to P.T.'s backward compatibility on PS5 "was a publisher decision."
Makes sense. Publishers most likely have total control over this and Konami wants this game dead.Polygon:
P.T. is not playable on PlayStation 5
There was backward compatibility here. Itās gone now.www.polygon.com

The API is server side, so it checked compatibility online and then blocked it from booting.
Hmmmmmm. I wonder if some sort of proxy can be set up (kinda like how we download PT from a proxy now) that sends a false "compatible" API check....The API is server side, so it checked compatibility online and then blocked it from booting.

YesI don't understand people saying to keep PT machines. It's easy as hell to download PT to any PS4, the rub is having the actual license to run it, right? That's tied to your account.

Thanks Konami.
