Both Spider-Man and Super Mario Party hit the 500k milestone. That's an insanely good result for both games.
Then there's Super Mario Party, which didn't do nearly anything remarkable yet has already become the third best game in the franchise behind the WII and DS entries, and could feasibly overtake one or both (depending on when the next one comes out, of course): the best Wii game sold 8.85M, the best DS game sold 9.31M. SMP is at 6.40M already after 2 quarters, which means it has a much faster sales pace than these other 2 had launch aligned.
Mario Party:
Mario Party DS after 4-5 months (two quarters): 3.62M
Mario Party DS after 10-11 months (four quarters): 4.73M (1.11M in TWO quarters)
Mario Party 8 Wii after 5-7 months (two-three quarters, depending on region): 4.35M
Mario Party 8 Wii after 11-13 months (four-five quarters, depending on region): <5.35M (less than 1M in TWO quarters)
Super Mario Party after 3 months (one quarter): 5.30M (note the quarter!)
Super Mario party after 6 months (two quarters): 6.40M
Super Mario Party has both a better start and better legs than its competitors
They still trucking along. Both Spider-Man and Super Mario Party hit the 500k milestone. That's an insanely good result for both games.
Yeah, I know. It's quite possible that BOTW did pass that barrier. But it still tells you something I think that SMP, despite being out for only 8 months, broke that barrier. Its sales are rapid and steady, which is very impressive.Zedark keep in mind that they stop updating the sales award for a game after a year. BotW likely crossed the 500k but since it didn't do so in its first year we never got an update. Also Pokémon Let's Go likely crossed 500k as well when we combine both SKUs.
belgoray I don't know if you are allowed to share such information and it's fine if you don't but do you know if Breath of the Wild sold more than 500.000 units in Germany?
