What does the rest of everyone's year look like gaming wise?

Going on what is currently announced and released, I think I'll play:
  • Pacific Drive
  • Dave the Diver
  • Hellblade II
  • Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
  • Buldur's Gate 3
  • The Outer Wilds
  • Star Wars Outlaws
  • Silent Hill 2
  • (Maybe Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin)
Before the end of the year. I'm assuming there will be more to that with announcements over the summer.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is Cory's new IP, announcement this May (that's my hot take).

Chipping away at my backlog and getting games on sales which I wont play this year

From the currently announced games+DLCs : Shadow of the Erdtree and Dawntrail, and of course these two release in the span of a week. Unsure about anything else, I don't think I can stomach another Persona-like. I should play Yakuza 8, eventually.

Let's not get starting with crazy expectations

No it's ok, we reached the end of this OT, so hot takes are to be expected!1

COLONY WARS will make an appearance this time for reals though, I can feel it!

I guess better late than never, but man a DMC-like starring Bizarro Noctis in late 2024/2025... Might as well go for 2026, FFXV will be ten years old by then (Jesus already?!)

I'm interested to see more Lost Soul Aside, the initial reveal didn't grab me at all but hopefully they've been cooking up something special (and that game certainly spent a long time in the oven).

Hot takes page.

Capcom output outside of MH, it's really boring.

My Hot Take

The world of 1886 has the untapped lore potential to be one of the most fascinating cinematic / third person IP's if brought back and handled by someone of Sucker Punch or Naughty Dogs quality.

I have not.
RE8 on PSVR2 is not bad tbh.

But RE7 on PSVR was already good

RE7 was the scariest of them.
RE8 looks great and is an outstanding game.

But RE4 is one of the VR GOATs imho, everything is close to perfection, graphics, gunplay, melee with the knife, enemy and location variety etc. etc.

It's on deep discount right now, you should buy it at a low price 😉.

I'm playing Eiyuden right now, as well as SaGa: Emerald Beyond. I will grab the Elden Ring DLC when it comes out as well.

I have absolutely nothing else I'm looking forward to on any platform announced for this year.

Honestly I just wanna finish Yakuza 8. Its a gigantic epic of a game, and one I absolutely do not want to finish as I know Ill be sad when I do lol.

Anyway, once its done, I wanna play (in any order):

Princess Peach (bit way through)
Paper Mario
Stellar Blade
Robocop
Tomb Raider 1-3
FFVII (original, remake, rebirth)
Persona 3 remake
Alone in the Dark (the new one)
Prince of Persia
Ronin
Dragons Dogma 2
Gear Shifters
Penny's Big Breakaway (almost finished this one)
And tons of Turtles/Spider-Man stuff

Will I get through everything? Lol no, but Ill have fun trying? Even if the second half is a barren wasteland of releases, Im still fully stocked!

I'm currently playing Dave the Diver, just finished Echoes of the Fallen, probably gonna start The Rising Tide today and then my backlog of games I want to play/finish consists of:

Tales of Kenzera
Deliver Us Mars
Pentiment
Chrono Cross
Death Stranding
Infinite Wealth

Probably takes until autumn lol
