So in my quest for Ghost types I found sweet F all the other morning, found a Gastly nearby where I live at 6pm and now a Haunter just appeared at work. Slow going, but I'll take it. Hopefully I'll get some of the field resarch for Gastly later.
Sounds a lot - I'm basically playing every day but more that I'm playing pokemon and will fire up Ingress to take down the portal after I've taken out a gym or if I'm spinning an area with a lot of stops
I have been playing every day so I can tell you I started 46 days ago
Sojourner silver (46) so another 14 days to get the gold medal for that
Recharger 249,160 so thats 1/4 of the way to silver
The only other one i seem to be closer to is connector (258 of 1000 for the silver)
The walker one may be easy to do because i already walk a lot for Pogo but at that time my phone will be on Pokemon :-)
And for removing a portal someone did that to one of our local gyms , it was at a supermarket restaurant and the actual portal was a wooden statue of the Giraffe outside
The statue was removed and the restaurant rebranded - about a month later the Gym vanished from the game - so I have it as a silver badge that i can never get to gold :-(
We do have a lot of other gyms in town now but at the time there was maybe only 15 or so , losing one of those was painful
Zngoose, Tropius & Volbeat are regionals. So I was trying to remember all the Gen 3 Pokemon, so I looked online for a list of what there was, and I've come across so many that I had forgotten about completely. Like Zangoose, Tropius, Volbeat, Kecleon, and so on... Are any of these even in Pokémon GO?
Zngoose, Tropius & Volbeat are regionals.
Kecleon isn't released yet

man im having the worst luck getting excellent throws. wtf is wrong with me. I have to do it for some quest.
There is an extra one which is "land a Nice Curveball" (as well as the 3 greats in a row) - last month it gave out Slowpoke but its switched over to Gastly
Thanks for the info! I finally got it (about 5 minutes after posting of course). im dreading the next special event which apparently needs a bunch of excellent throws to completeZangoose and Seviper are also the weirdest regionals in that originally :
Zangoose was region locked to NA
Seviper was region locked to Europe
After about a month they switched places and have not switched since
The *best* quests are excellent throws - its either a single excellent for an Absol encounter or 3 in a row for a Larvitar
some quick suggestions
1) Pick something big to practice on so you have a big circle - Wailmer are great for these and if your in Europe Mr Mime is also a good choice (or do a T5 raid and go for Regice)
2) Give it a nanab berry which will stop it jumping around
3) Have something stored to do these with
For 3) if you get a quest reward which is an Onyx or a Wailmer then dont collect the quest (or run from it) and it will just sit and wait for you - when you then get this quest then you can keep throwing and the Pokemon will not run away
These bonuses are siiiick. After popping a lucky egg, it's about 1000 XP per catch and level 5 raids worth 40k. Amazing. I racked up over 100k just walking back from work yesterday.
I'm short like 30 coins to buy the Great Box for more lucky eggs though. I have two pokemon in gyms right now that would net me that, but just waiting for someone to bounce them out. Hurrrry. I'm really looking forward to doing that commute again after work, haha.
Those seemed pretty rare to me in 1st part, so hard to say currently.Did they remove all the Absol quests? Haven't seen any since the month started.
Yes, but it matters what time you collected the quest in that case. The July quests came in at 1PM PDT. (If it helps, 1PM PDT is 15 minutes from the time of this writing.)
I've got 1 vulpix, 1 sandshrew, 1 meowth, and then 5+ Rattatas... I'd gladly take another Meowth at this point.Having hatched 25+ 7km eggs I finally got an Alolan Vulpix. If I hatch these next 9 and 7 or 8 of them are Meowth's again I may just ignore my gifts until they swap out what's in them.

No idea why they added A Ratata into the rotation since they're so common in the wild. Seems like Meowth's is heavily weighted as well from reading Reddit.
I've been using the free incubators from leveling up. Down to my last one now though.I still haven't hatched a single Alolan egg. I don't know how you all can already hatch several dozens without blowing all your coins or running marathons.
I'm not even stressing about Alolan Vulpix anymore.
You just know eventually they're going to do an event where they're available in the wild.
Once they added Rattata to the pool I decided to not use paid incubators anymore too.
Oh is Meowth no longer hatchable? Guess I do still have a lot of older eggs.I mean Rattata just replaced Meowth, it's not like it really changed the odds of Vulpix at all

Boo. :(Between this heat wave killing me and my GPS shitting the bed on my phone.. I've not played much recently and it makes me sad :'(
My discord just posted an FYI that there's a friend glitch where battling with a friend in 10 gyms will make you best friends. Apparently Niantic is aware and working to patch.
Ta :)

I complained about this before, so sorry in advance if it's annoying to hear me vent, lol.
