Yeah, that is true. I just want to give Team 2019 as much hope as possible. They deserve at least that much. ;)you are being generous with the time ,if there is no PS meeting announcement by first week of Feb , then 2019 ship has sailed big time lol
I predict Sony highlighting this feature to emphasize their backwards compatibility support.
Sony will announce on stage all your PS4 games are backwards compatible whether they are physical or digital. And some games offer PS5 enhancements. Here are some examples *shows Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima running on PS5*
The pc version is gonna come out after the ps5 version isn't it... Lol
haha true but even pro details leaked before PS meeting for Pro , no? so how come we expect the meeting for PS5 without a single leak? do you think team 2019 is just dreaming at this point ?hahaAnother point a while ago is how the video game outlets haven't reported a single thing. Absolutely nothing. There is no way they wouldn't know about PS5 if it was coming next year, and they absolutely wouldn't want to miss out on being one of, if not, the first to report on it. There just isn't any info out there and, to go along with the point of early 2019 news being the limit for a potential late 2019 release, that just says it all really. You can't keep a massive launch like PS5 under wraps no matter how much easier the transition from one gen to the next gen is.
No one hasn't reported anything simply because PS5 isn't coming out in 2019.

Well, I suspect that there will be a very powerful boost mode at the very least. So hopefully we see some games, at the very least, getting patches to make their 30fps caps optional.
I'm assuming games that have dynamic scaling or a option of uncapped framrate will get a boost without the need of a patch.
i m sure many of sony first party and second party games of 2018 onwards are already ready to run at higher resolution /frame rate on PS5 sue to them knowing some info on PS5. Just like what media molecule said about PS5 and PS4Bingo. So at least we can probably look forward to native 4K Spider-Man and whatnot.
He'll tell you when he comes back from work
With all that being said, the original point still makes the most sense.
If we have no info on PS5 by March 2019, there is no way possible it is coming out in 2019. They need to announce PS5 and have promo through the year (along with other factors). They aren't going to announce and release it within a shorter time frame than that.

That's what he said originally, not the after work updatenot sure, found this elsewhere;
"As of right now the specifications are pretty much finalized some of the parts are a bit pricey at the moment so it wont be released for a while. Looking at another year to year and a half before its released but it should be announced very soon. Development kits are circulating Bend, Santa Monica, ND and Sucker Punch and Guerrilla are all hands on. The machine is 100% backwards compatible and very powerful. I have a better format but just to get it out there to you AMD Ryzen cpu custom configuration 3.20 ghz, 7nm Navi gpu 1.121 ghz 18GB RAM @880GB/s"
Dreams are a powerful thing. Just let them enjoy their remaining time with them. They will awaken after early 2019.haha true but even pro details leaked before PS meeting for Pro , no? so how come we expect the meeting for PS5 without a single leak? do you think team 2019 is just dreaming at this point ?haha
PS5 is on another level though. The clicks from being the first to report on PS5 would be too juicy.This;
We didn't know much about Pro until close to it being ready...the thought process is that if that can be kept as quiet as it was then PS5 could also.
Longest shift ever

Can't report if you have little to no info though.
Ain't easy being the god of the underworld.
No way to tell without knowing other factors like CU count etc.. But the clock speed he mentioned is unusually low compared to 14/7nm Vega GPUs. So it's either fake, or they use a very big GPU with a lot of CUs (which is unlikely imo). To illustrate this: If AMD's newly announced 7nm Radeon Instinct MI60 had the leaked clock speed, I think we would be looking at ~9.1 TF. Imo there is no way Sony will only have single digit TF performance.
He is on a never ending (business) trip .... not coming back before 2020 when the PS5 will be released with completely different specs to what he claimed ...
dont you rather wait a year and get 11 to 14 TF? and enjoy the generation with more beautiful games? For $399 console in 2019 that is perfectly realistic.I expect for a long time we gonna get 9-10 TF gpu.
11.5 TF is like that you tube" leak "Vega has that issue of not scaling very well with the number of CUs past 56, though. Since the MI60 are HPC parts, AMD solves it by just cranking clocks/voltages and calling it a day. Since consoles have very, very different priorities (and seemingly Navi is being developed at least partially with consoles in mind), it isn't unreasonable to think they'll try to change that.
If they went with the equivalent of 80 CUs, at 1.121ghz, we're talking some 11.5TF.
To release a weak console like that is better wait 2020. 9 tflops will be a ridiculous jump for a next-gen.For $399 console in 2019 that is perfectly realistic.I expect for a long time we gonna get 9-10 TF gpu.

You need to remember that 4k will eat most of the flops. With 9 TFLOPS will still have Battlefield games with drops all the time on framerate.
9 TFLOPS is less than a Vega56(~10.56) and vega56 can't handle 1440p properly. it will be a disaster a weak console like that.
12TFLOPS need to be the target when we talk about AMD flops.
thast the most likely scenario as well for me.as for PS5 we dont even have a project name yet and no leak .and we expect a PS meeting in 2 months. just doesnt make sense. For PS meetings of PS4 and PS4 pro we had the full details(ok 90% of details) leaked before the meetings . we have absolutely nothing now . and as you said PS4 sales is above their expectation. so they are in no rushI still think PS5 will not reveal at PS Meeting in February they still have a good year coming for PS4 why the Cut it?
but maybe in PSX and Still don't think it will reveal there but in February 2020 it's more realistic....Same goes With the XB
Most people won't upgrade their consoles if it's to play the same games at higher resolution and at double the frame rate.No.RDR2,GoW,Uncharted 4 are already gorgeous games.Playing them at ~ 4K 60 fps is enough for me.
thats one game . most games this gen require 8 TF to run 4k at their base FPS(which is mostly 30FPS). beside next gen lighting and particle effects will require extra computing power.RDR2 already runs at native 4K on 1X 6TF.So i am not worried at all.

well once you see next gen games ,like GTAVI or horizon 2 you will feel differently. in xbox360 / ps3 days when i was playing gears of war or alan wake or god of war or uncharted or heavy rain or last of us i would say my god these games are gorgeous and look already next gen to me. but once i saw the next gen beautiful games i realized they were lacking compared to today's standard (naturally).same will happen with RDR2 ;)It's the most beautiful open world game i ever seen.RDR2 is already "next gen" for me,frankly.
This is what i expected from next gen games to look like.
Which means the higher we get beyond 8.4TF, the higher chance there is for more 60fps games.
if they patch the games it will take advantage of the full power. but point is which publisher would do it?i m sure the games that came out in the last year will mostly get patched but before that , not sure really.

I mean, the dude could just be busy with his actual life. Don't think forums are a priority for most peeps. If he hasn't posted anything in the next week, the jokes would be warranted. Not that I believe his info, but just saying.
Certainly possible, I would have guessed that it might be easier to just increase clocks a bit instead of increasing chip size, but of course in the end only they know where they can get the best performance for their money.
Doesn't that depend much more on Zen2 cpu and not gpu in PS5...?
Anything really. I've gone weeks without coming on here for no particular reason. Life just happens and an internet forum is like the last thing on my mind. Dude could've been planning on posting something after work but is caught up with other things. Not like actually posting on here is a 2 minute thing since you'd likely have to stick around for a bit.
