PS5 has play time counter (including how long you played old PS4 games)

This will make me play games far less.
Everytime I see how long I've spent playing a game it just feels like wasted time.
When I got the one that was over 1000 hours on destiny I deleted the game and never went back.
That time could've been spent way better haha.
Hopefully I can disable /hide this

You can already track it ingame.
Go into Challenges and look for the right line: the "Character" challenges has a time played challenge xxx/7600 hours.
This was rumored and now confirmed nice.
Please don't tell some parents about this feature or they gonna find out that their kids spent a lot of time playing and will prevent them frrom playing the PS5 or reduce their playing time. Let all people enjoy the games.

It's crazy how Sony has been tracking this but it has only been available in very limited cases.

Love stuff like this. I always find it super interesting to look through my time spent on each game on stuff like Nintendo 3DS and Steam. I am especially curious to see where my playtimes for Gravity Rush 2 and various Yakuza games ended up.
Oh this is very cool, I didn't know it existed. After logging in, I was met with an absolutely insane stat that I wouldn't have believed lol. I have 43 hours total on Xbox One as opposed to around 4000 on my PS4. Holy shit.....I bought a day 1 Sunset Overdrive X1 and Project Scorpio X1X and I have 43 total hours.......
that´s great that it´s finally visible :D we knew Sony had this data as they sent those "your most played games of the year" etc. emails with the hours listed.

Jeez I have 900 hours in Mortal Kombat X and 700 hours in Dead By Daylight, didn't expect that lol.
To be fair, total time should be always bigger than playtime. It counts everything, even if you just in the menus and don't do anything.
Holy shit I didn't think that many people would have more hours in UC4 than me, got just under 1.1k
