Demand doesn't feel like it has nearly been satisfied so I assume this just means Sony shipped a ton this month.
These threads are the worst. Even almost a year after launch, they are still nearly impossible to buy.
It's currently the second best selling console in the UK for this year (behind PS5 obviously), so it seems to be pretty popular yeah.
So far this new generation seems to be playing out like the last where PlayStation sells the most, then Nintendo then Xbox.
If could get an euro every time i read a post or watch an influencer on youtube rambling about how they need an answer to Gamepass i'd be rich by now.

Sure, also under extreme supply constraints. Maybe PS5 would've sold a lot more? But Xbox probably would've moved into second if they could match demand.

I mean, R&C sold 1.1 million and is listed as #40 on this list and PS5 is selling more than Switch and Xbox combined. We already know that software sales =/= to console sales. There is only so many they can make so whoever gets a larger amount of PS5's will likely outsell the other consoles. USA and Europe is going to be their top priority.
Oh absolutely. PS5 would do absolute numbers if they could meet demand. I still know a few people that still haven't managed to secure one and it's almost been a year now.
Anecdotally it seems a lot easier to get a Series X than a PS5 in the UK, although both are supply constraint. Demand for Series S just isn't there as it's always in stock.
