Didn't that article said something like Sony may need to cut the price to avoid a disaster? I wonder who wrote that article hmmm…So it sold about twice as much as was estimated in that bloomberg article...
Comparing it to PSVR doesn't really tell us if it has met their expectations or not
GameSpot actually tweeted this?
Embarrassingly unprofessional.
That depends on the regions, PS Direct isn't available in all regions like Canada which has had the headset at retail like Amazon and Best Buy since launch.
Considering the number of PS5s out there compared to ps4…I'd like to call BS on that.Pretty good (especially for the premium price) but not huge growth as I assume Sony wanted out of their new headset, which is probably where that Bloomberg report was assessing from.
Probably not, since that wouldn't count as a sale. Plus, I can't imagine they gave a significant amount away compared to 600k units.Do they count all the devices given to influencers and youtubers?
No one should be taking that journo seriously. So it sold about twice as much as was estimated in that bloomberg article...
Yeah, I think this is the best way to look at it. It's decent, given the price.
Idk what Sony's internal expectations for the headset were of course. With the price, retail availability, and install base of the PS5, surpassing the first PSVR is pretty damn goodConsidering the number of PS5s out there compared to ps4…I'd like to call BS on that.
What the hell? This is embarrassing even for game journalism standards.
