Real talk,how many decades are you gaming?

First game I played I was around 3 years old so that would be 1990. Been playing for three decades.
I started playing video games in the PS1 era. Then I got a Gameboy Advance, a GameCube, and a PS2. I started being actively in gaming and following the news and watching E3 in the 360 generation.
Started in the early 90s with a Gameboy and PC, so I guess 4 decades if we're including the one that just started
Old. 2020s are my fifth decade of paying games for at least part of them since i started in the 80s with a little Atari and a some NES (we got that late so may have been early 90s.
Pretty sure I got my NES in 90 or 91, and we had some kind of early Apple before that, so I guess at least 30 years at this point.
Started with the atari something something and intellivision, still going strong on kids in Halo Infinite in 2022. 42 yo, lets go
Started in the early 80's when my uncle (only a few years older than me) got an Atari 2600 for Xmas. Yarz Revenge and Combat all weekend long when I would visit. I also played Burger Time and Facemaker on my Texas Instruments computer. Then came a Colecovision and Donkey Kong. Not to long after that I got an NES. Damn I'm old...
I remember playing Atari 2600 when i before i was in kindergarden, and I'm 43 now, so that's 4 decades.
At least since 1980.
It's kind of cool being able to experience so many different things from this industry.
It was a lot simpler back in the day. There are so many games on so many platforms it seems literally impossible to be able to experience even just all the good ones that are released each year.

Same here. Born in 76. I started gaming in 1985 with the nes.
I mean it was that way as well back then. If you didn't have all the systems and pc you were missing out.

Same exact boat, and it's been really cool to be able to experience first-hand what gaming has to offer through the decades. I used to buy gaming mags at the grocery and then look at screenshots for months, re-reading every article about that ONE game I was hyped for.
Now I get reminded about games that interested me upon announcement that I totally forgot about until near or even AT release.
