Wait, Mike believes in ghost?
He doesn't
actually believe in ghosts (or so he says), he just really likes that spooky feeling that you get when you let go of reason and pretend that they're real, and to that end he's consumed and enjoyed
a lot of crap on the subject.
The first and last points are head scratchers. The middle two make complete sense.
Pretty much why I asked if he was being positive or negative.
- Jurassic World was an inoffensive "guilty pleasure" kind of movie, so I thought it was great for the cynical Mike to admit to liking it. It also speaks to some of his other reviews, and makes it easier to predict his positive reactions.
- I've never played Friday the 13th and have no real opinion on it, but Rich and Jack look like they have a lot of fun when they play it, and I really enjoyed when they made
Jay play it.
- I thought TLJ was a mixture of genius and terrible, which makes it significantly better than the Prequel Trilogy, but it also felt like it made me lose the last of my faith in Disney's Sequel Trilogy. Meanwhile I thought Infinity War was great and deserving of the praise it's getting.
- Ghosts, I covered above. I think it's terribly shameful and embarrassing, and I love that Mike's so into it.
My biggest "Wut?" issue in RLM is probably when Jay reveals the full depth of his creepyness. It's too much for me. But I'm okay with setting that aside and ignoring it. It's fine in smaller doses.
