That's freaking horrible.
You can, or at least I saw a HUD toggle in the options menu. Those fugly ass button prompts on the door handles :(... I hope you can turn the HUD off completely like in 7..
confirmed, you can turn the HUD off completely
For funsies and shit, room comparisons with the original PS1 version. Some sensible changes here and there, but honestly pretty damned faithful:
you can play again!OK I FINISHED THE DEMO AND THERE'S A TRAILER AT THE END THAT SHOWS.....
Tofu walking and Hunk at the sewers. Did anyone knew about this?
Sadly it took only 16 minutes to reach the end. So.... 30 minutes shot is not what I played.
For what it's worth I've heard that the demo is the same build as from e3, so I imagine significant improvements have been made.
That's cool.it's running at 1080p/60. You will be able to play the retail version at 4k, albeit at 30fps.
Yeah I see what you mean, kinda strange looking.
That does look mighty funky...
Tank controls are fineGame is a Goty contender, so smooth on Pro as well. It's feels like RE4 gameplay improved (no tank controls) with heavy emphasis on atmosphere.
From the footage I've seen of this game, the shitty reflections have always been there. That does look mighty funky...
Not trying to start another "Puddlegate" here, but did this very issue show up during the public demos? I find it strange that it is being noticed here for the first time.
Either way, depending on how much support the game ends up getting in the future, I would guess it's likely that they smooth out some of the wrinkles through patching.
Plus, this is a demo, I doubt that it is representative of the final game in every single aspect, especially taking into account that we might still get those 30fps modes and whatnot.
i remember them being bad in RE7 as wellThat does look mighty funky...

Without looking anything up beforehand?I thought it was 30 minutes and you can go as far as you can in that time. But in 16 minutes I finished it.
Is that on PC or console btw?
After the initial calibration on my LG 55B7P everything looked fine (HDR on).finished it in 14 minutes lol. rushed through it like a mad man.
really fun but the timed demo shit is real dumb. just keep it short and let me take my time. the village demo of biohazard 4 is probably the greatest demo of all time, I played it legit 50 times before RE4 released.
overall it feels fantastic and i feel more than comfortable saying this is my most hyped game of the year
HOWEVER I do hate how fucking dark this game is. I know horror=dark and scary=dark but god damn I wanted to compare the environments from the original to this one and I could barely make anything out beyond leon's little shitty flashlight. the original RE games were super creepy and didn't need to be all dark like this... but whatever it was still fun.
Not out on PC yet, so on some console
Yea. I just went where the game told me to go and looked around in those areas a bit.
