If that's what you want, why wish for a RE2make at all and not just for a new game in the vein of action RE?
It would make the game incredibly boring and remove just about any challenge from the majority of the game, that's for sure.
I love both styles, but prefer horror. Action games are fine in the newer tittles, but I never want to see it inject into remakes of the old ones.Does anybody who likes both kinds of RE (i.e. action and survival horror) prefer the survival horror kind?
For some reason it just seems to me like the vast majority of people who like both kinds actually prefer action, whereas the people who only like one kind are the ones who prefer survival horror. I feel like I very rarely, if ever, see someone who only likes action RE, at least among people who are franchise enthusiasts and not just "yea I remember playing RE5 with my bud when it came out, didn't like REmake HD when I tried it though."
I've been thinking about an idea that i'd love to see implemented in RE8. It's no mystery that we'll probably play with a new character again in RE8 and a classic character will make a cameo.
What if they make RE8 the survival horror game and make a side action game where we play with the classic character involved in that game ? It would be like Separate Ways on steroids with RE8 playing like RE7 and the side game playing like RE4/5.
Both fanbases would be pleased and it could be something "new" and refreshing for the franchise.
Amazing idea i must say.

If so I hope I wish it is changeable so people don't throw a fit.
Just completed RE7 on normal. I'd say it's a top 3 game this year, I'll have to revise my rankings now. Awesome game. Next up is Dino Crisis on Dreamcast (just got my VGA box, so I can have the best quality pixels) and then Code Veronica. I'll most likely get RE2 and 3 on Dreamcast too, since both games support VGA. : )
Nice one. I've had the VGA box for about 4 years now and it's really good. RE2 and RE3 look very sharp on it. Sadly though I can't play Dino Crisis or Code Veronica with the VGA box because those games are only 50HZ in the EU and the VGA box doesn't support 50HZ. How long is the RE7 DLC overall then? The Season Pass is on sale for £16 in the January Sale on PSN.
will try to find a better location for regina.
Not a Hero and End of Zoe are both story-based, imo they're necessary parts of the story that close off some hanging plot threads that didn't get resolved in the base game. I also consider the final boss of Not a Hero the "real" final boss of the game as a whole. How much of the season pass is story based? Do you recommend buying it in the latest sale?
Is End of Zoe included in the Season pass?

The DLC called "Daughters" from the first batch of DLC is also story-focused.
End of Zoe is in the season pass. I don't think the season pass was a good value to be honest, even if I did really like End of Zoe. But I don't mind since I'm happy to support the game. I would recommend just buying End of Zoe individually if it's a cheaper option.

Even though 6's Mercenaries is really fun, I prefer 5's over it.Its hard to find someone to play Mercenaries in RE6(PS4)
No one playing one of the best modes in the gaming history ;-;
Well, most of the DLC in the first batch (i.e. both Banned Footage volumes) is technically "story-related" but most of it doesn't really impact the main story in any meaningful way. They're cool one-off sequences but beyond that...I don't know, they're just kind of "there."So only three parts has story?
What order should I play them in?
Even in the latest sale you wouldnt recommend the season pass?

Where is the season pass on sale? PSN? It's still $30 on Steam which is grossly overpriced if you ask me.
Play the main game, then Daughters, then Not a Hero, then End of Zoe. You can skip Daughters though honestly, or just YouTube it.
Yeah, I don't get this either. I understand why people say that Capcom might go the OTS route for RE2 (i.e RE2 has a big budget, and Calvin wants to appeal to a wider audience), but... Why wouldn't you just want a new game if the "REmake" you're asking for is something completely unrecognizable from the original experience? What's the point? If that's what you want, why wish for a RE2make at all and not just for a new game in the vein of action RE?
I want a REmake of RE2 in the Classic style, because I genuinely love that style (also, "Classic" = /= Tank Controls, only a fixed camera perspective) and think it holds up. I believe that the original gameplay style is still fun today, and I think that fixed camera angles can add dramatically got he atmosphere of a Horror game. An OTS perspective would not be able to replicate that same atmosphere.OTS Cam =/= action.
Why remake RE2 if it keeps classic cam and tank controls? I'm fine with the original still. REmake was awesome in 2001 but from a 2018 RE2 remake i expect more than that tbh.
OTS cam with tougher enemies and limited firepower works. A camera is just a viewpoint. Though it immensely helps the shooting (you can also miss shots). Even classic RE2 had lots of shooting by the way.
Why people want a change? To play a classic in a fresher form, with updated controls and more immersion. Its why the fabled FFVII remake is so hotly anticipated as well.
Yeah, this is actually a really cool idea!I've been thinking about an idea that i'd love to see implemented in RE8. It's no mystery that we'll probably play with a new character again in RE8 and a classic character will make a cameo.

Yeah, I prescribe to this as well. I love every style of RE, but OTS Action RE is my favorite style by far.Does anybody who likes both kinds of RE (i.e. action and survival horror) prefer the survival horror kind?

Does anyone know where if I can play RE7 DLCs if I am not signed in on my PSN account on my PS4? And will I receive the trophies that I get once I sign in to my PSN?
Very lttp with Operation Raccoon City. Started playing a few days ago. I'm having a little fun with it. Some parts are more frustrating than others. Not bothered that it's not a true Resident Evil game. I enjoy fan service. The mechanics are mostly really good, though there are all sorts of little things they could have fixed, namely the melee and how useless it can be if your character isn't facing in exactly the right direction. And of course, the cover system is very hit-or-miss. And I still can't stop trying to do the 180-turn around -- just instinctive.
Not sure what the A.I.'s fascination is with fire, but they simply seem unable to refrain from taking a bath in it. How hard is it to program the shit to avoid fire. It seems to actively look for fire so it can run into it and dance around. But sometimes the A.I. is surprisingly effective. It's a toss up too, since -- though there are still people playing online -- most human players only seem interested in sabotaging a mission.
It's definitely a guilty pleasure game. I paid $10 after shipping. I can't imagine how people felt who paid full price for it. It's got a lot of potential, actually, but they just don't seem to have put much effort into realizing it. The skill and weapon system could have been so much deeper, giving you a real incentive to keep going back to what is an incredibly short experience. I am just about to finish my first run through the campaign, and I've already unlocked most of what interests me.
This could have been a good $20 downloadable title in preparation for RE6 at the time, maybe pricing the additional missions at $5 a pack, but damn, if Capcom isn't the greediest fucking publisher on the planet. But Slant Six seems to have done a decent job for their part. I mean, considering the time and resources they likely had to work with.
That's close to $20 USD which I think is a bit more fair of a price. Though I'd say You'd probably only get about 5 hours out of it all unless you're achievement hunting
