For real though, you don't need an account to vote? Seems open to manipulation more than most polls... either way, that is.ROTS was polled the second highest on the official SW website, both in 2015 and in 2018.

Or does it just show the current votes when you click on it?
Not what I was saying at all. Other polls exist online that place TLJ lower that don't look so open to manipulation.
I can't say that myself, but Era definitely is more positive on TLJ than most places I've seen.Really?
On all the forums/Reddit I've browsed, Era is perhaps the biggest PT bashing place on the internet (these days, anyway).

Ah, that makes sense then. And I assume you needed an account to vote? It's a closed poll. You can't vote anymore and it's just showing results.
You're right, TLJ really is better

I mean, it's on the official SW site, and it has the widest number of votes. It's as accurate as an internet poll can be.
However, here are more polls, one is from Reddit, the other is from Variety.
I love it how every time TLJ does bad in some poll/rating (StarWars.com, IGN, RottenTomatoes user voters) it is always some grand conspiracy.
Resetera is the land owning elite with the Electoral College.

You say, smuggly. The smugness TLJ fans have for merely liking a blockbuster movie will never cease to astound me.
You are a bold one.
Anecdotal, but to people that I know, ROTS is what Star Wars is supposed to be. A grander than life space opera. They only got into the OT because of the PT which they didn't actually enjoy as much and the ST doubles down on something that they're not really into.
They want Jedi Order shenanigans and not lone Jedi hero.

30+ is more likely the majority here, right?
Star Wars means different things to different people. Consequences of being such a long running series with so many different types of stories.
I think it has more to do with execution. Many people who don't care for the prequels love the Clone Wars, because it takes those Jedi Order shenanigans and executes on them much more effectively than the prequels ever did.
Whereas TLJ executes on what it's trying to do much more effectively, even if what it was trying to do wasn't what some people want out of Star Wars. Which is fair.
You saw it on your first viewing? You were deliberately ignoring the focus of the scene, craning your neck to the extreme right of a 50 foot screen waiting to see a twirling stuntman you didn't know was going to be there? Or you saw the bootleg gifs in the TLJ OT shortly after the movie came out and you went into the theatre deliberately looking for what you'd seen looped a hundred times?
I'm curious what you think about Donnie Yen's catalogue. One of the most beloved martial arts movie stars ever, but notorious for multi-person choreography that leaves the background players clearly visible in the frame waiting for their turn to come in and get beaten up by him. If you wanted to make gifs of every moment a stuntman is just dancing around in the background of the famous Ip Man vs. 10 Black Belts scene instead of punching Donnie in the back of the head, you'd basically have to gif the entire fight:
Does that mean that this fight scene that regularly appears on top 10 best ever lists is secretly terrible? Donnie Yen, legend of martial arts cinema, is a fraud? Or does it show that deliberately looking for guys in the background and making cropped and slowed-down gifs is a shitty way of watching fight scenes?
I don't believe this is true at all... unless we've ever had a large enough poll or something?

Oh man, this post.
I've taken trips to the bathroom more worthy of being called a masterpiece than a single syllable of Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi EVER will be.
It'll be a cold day in hell before that piece of shit is better than a single one of the prequels. Disney's fanfic insert characters are about as relevant as him, even if they aren't as annoying.
I rewatced RotS last week... It is a truly poor movie in practically every respect except for John Williams' score. The acting and dialogue especially is gobsmackingly awful. The effects were bad at the time and have dated even worse now. Any issue people have with The Last Jedi is a thousand times worse in RotS. Like it boggles my mind people could like RotS more, other than in an ironic way for its unintentional comedy.

On a curve and no one was really gushing about it. Als feelings were boosted by it finishing the trilogy and putting us out of our miseryOr maybe.... people really enjoy the movie?
Even critically, ROTS got pretty solid reviews when it came out.
There are are a larger amount of people over 30, as I thought.People like the direction more and the overall story along with the tone.
Some people can't get on board with where TLJ went nor are they interested in the characters.
ROTS is bombastic and TLJ is quiet.
We have. We're both wrong.
The majority are in their 20's or at least based on this poll.
Demographics Era: How old are you? (Poll reset and updated)
Just out of curiosity. I'm assuming most are 30+. I would have created more options, but this was the limit the poll would allow me. EDIT: Poll updated by The Woods. Thanks!www.resetera.com

Not really. I like both movies, but RotS is a funner movie to me and quite frankly has way more going for it than TLJ, flaws and all.

People who grew up with the PT no doubt have more love for it. I would have liked it far more had I been younger. You know maybe that could be a reasoning behind why Resetera is more harsh. I've noticed fans in their 20's tend to like the PT more than fans in their 30's. Hmmmm......
If live action Grievous had an iota of what made his first appearance so amazing, I might agree. Alas.
Say what you will about Luke in TLJ, but at least he wasn't turned into a total chump.
I grew up with the PT, being 9 in 2005, and I always knew that TPM and AOTC were bad movies and far inferior to the OT. ROTS I really liked until I read Matt Stover's novelization, which was so much better.
Luke has an arc. Grievous is a toy.High-key, I think Luke is worse than a chump. He's a coward. Good riddance to that loser. He peaked at 23.
I was three years old when I first watched the OT and The Phantom Menace in pretty close proximity to each other.See, this sounds like you watched the OT first. I didn't and those people that I'm talking about didn't either.
The first Skywalker that I knew is Anakin Skywalker not Luke Skywalker.
If you want to listen to Lucas, you should watch the PT then OT.

Fair enough. I just happened to like Mark Hamill being able to stretch his acting legs as a broke down piece of shit.
