Ah but you can buy The Last Remnant on Android then play it on your PC via BlueStacks or something! Lol it is wild to me this game is available on phones, Switch, PlayStation, but not PC or Xbox, the two platforms it was exclusively on before the Remaster.

(The Front Mission remakes are not published by SE though)

Square have nothing to do with the Front Mission remakes though, they just lent their IP to Forever Entertainment.

It would be nice if like, 1 came over to (more) modern platforms as well. But if there was one Star Ocean game to get some actual money invested in it it would be 2 for sure.

Star Ocean 2 is my favourite star ocean so this greatly pleases me. I hope it's a full remake and not something like first departure/2nd story.

Maybe 2-3 months ago, I was reminiscing about some of the video games I used to own when I was young but never got around to playing after I left for college. The biggest ones I could recall were Legend of Dragoon, Suikoden 1 and 2, and Star Ocean: The Second Story. I knew I'd finally be able to slay some of these white whales from my past with Legend of Dragoon being released on the PS Store again and with Suikoden 1+2 being remastered.

I decided to look up Star Ocean 2 to see if there was a remaster or some version available in the PS Store. I ended up being very dismayed to learn that several of the Star Ocean games had been remastered and were available, and Star Ocean 2 was even remastered for PSP with that version being released in Japan on PS4, but there was no English version at all available on current consoles. All feedback I could find online basically said "don't hold your breath" when hoping that The Second Story would be remastered with an English release.

So, seeing this leak immediately made me very excited to finally be able to experience this game after ~22 years.

Would be very funny since the plot is largely nothing and it's the systems of Blue Sphere which are pretty cool.

Would be nice to work my way through all the entries, didn't really want to go back to the PS1 original after the remake of the first game.

Never played it but loved Blue Sphere so MAYBE I SHOULD GIVE IT A GO (got really bored when I played Second Evolution on PSP though soooo)
