I like her design but kinda bummed at the idea of 16th century pirates outside of Japan are dressed like barbarians

Yeah, if they could put the sash higher up on her hip and make it a little bit bigger it would be great.

Interest in the game has risen. Not a fan of the art direction though the character models look bad.

Just because they got a history of oversexualization doesn't mean we can't demand better of them.
I didn't say you can't demand better. I just don't think it's surprising a developer that's know to oversexualise their characters did it again is all.
Unfortunately i don't think we will get characters from VI, they just announced Samurai Showdown Collection without VI, maybe SNK didn't like that entry, i hope not because i loved it, the updated model for the 1 and 2 characters are amazing, the new characters are really cool and i dig the fact that i could choose to play with 4 style.
