Some of you guys have pretty impressive stuff, I love browsing threads like this...
Here's my humble shelf that is in need of some serious dusting:

That's seriously one of the better collections I've seen, very nice. While I have recently moved and am transitioning all my stuff to a new space, here was where my work ended back in 2017.

My games are split between two locations right now, so I'm just going to post some pictures I took from a few years back. I believe these are ones I took to post on GAF. I've added a few games, and sold some of the Limited Run Games doubles.
I put the post in quotes because there are a bunch of images. It's a horror collection and a few sets of games from different developers or game series.
Does anyone else here collect horror games?
I definitely pick them up as I find them and plan on getting more. They tend to be pretty expensive for older titles as they were niche outside of a couple major franchises. I do own a decent amount including some pricey ones like Rule of Rose.
I've been on a survival horror kick, this is a good reference post for me.
I dont have cute pics, but I documented mine in a Google Sheet here -> link
Not pictured is my Yakuza collection, which is just all the Yakuza releases out of Japan.
Thanks :) Its not easy to photo. Basically its in one part where light doesn't really shine to bright, so its been impossible to get a good pic!Awesome collection! You should post the Yakuza collection too, if you get a chance.
i'm disappointed... you don't have the entire 3ds collection =)Still continuing to work on getting mine displayed how I'd like, but here is an update.
Still working on the basement so I still don't have everything displayed like my larger Collectors Editions (e.g. BoTW Master Edition), Amiibos, Wii U kiosk, etc...
Still making slow progress though.
No wonder, that's a great display! I especially love the stepped glass/acrylic? shelves. Seeing those old consoles makes me want to get my own and try them out.Figure I'd share my retro Nintendo collection. Everybody loves my custom display I made.
They are glass! My camera sucks on my phone so the picture is a tad blurry to see all the games. As you can tell I hit SNES super hard haha. Tried to get every game as mint as possible. No wonder, that's a great display! I especially love the stepped glass/acrylic? shelves. Just got this setup yesterday :) Not the biggest collection, but I'm pretty happy with:
Great taste and beautiful collection. Everything looks minty fresh! My games are split between two locations right now, so I'm just going to post some pictures I took from a few years back. Edit: At my current place I only have a bit of my collection, but I got a shelf loaded with some of my all time favorite console games for easy access.

Hurray! Love these threads. Always interesting to see what everyone else is doing, and also what you share with others. :D
Here's my stuff of not just games, but also anime, manga, and figures,
I don't have any great pics of my collection, but a couple of the less bad ones:
A tiny bit of my Mega Man collection. This is the rare wall/shelf which holds most of the limited release stuff. Dotted around my room is basically every single individual release from Europe, Asia and the USA, bar one Chinese special edition PC release of X8...
I've got some games but the market lost its fun for me. The Saturn stuff I picked up in the 00s was a lot of fun but now everything is just absurdly expensive. I never got around to Albert Odyssey and Lunacy, for example, and now I never will. It can still be fun to find the random mispriced game but the needles in haystacks are just getting rarer. If anything, I feel the burden of having too much and think about getting rid of it. Beats getting a tailored insurance policy.
Fantastic collection! All I wanted to say.Switch and a few big box pc games.
DS, 3DS
PS1, JP PS1, PC Engine, Neo Geo CD, Dreamcast, NES ,Wii, GC, WiiU, N64
Saturn, JP Saturn, Sega CD, Mega CD
Pile o stuff that I will move when I get another shelf for my PS2, Xbox stuff.
360, PS3, 3D0, Lynx, 2600, 2700, Intellivision, Snes, Ps2, Xbox, Gamepro/EGM magazines and some extra consoles.
NES, SNES boxes and a few console boxes.
Genesis, Master System, 32x
And since I took those pics a couple months ago I went Ps2 crazy and beefed up my Xbox collection a bit.
And a few of my bigger games.
Game collecting, like all other collecting hobbies, gets expensive quick. Retro collecting has always amused the shit out of me, like is your childhood worth that much money? JFC the prices and hoarding. Digital is the way forward, just make local and cloud storage backups and you're golden.
To those of you all who have giant rooms with floor-to-celling shelves
(lol. I'd love to visit the video game museum in texas but, that isn't happing for a long while, however the owner/founder of the museum owns an independent gaming shop in NJ, so i'll visit that)
The focused collection shit, like the collection of just horror games and the collection of just tiger handhelds, fucking legit.
Collect every game collections? Kinda hoarding.
Most of mine was bought for $5-15 a game back when collecting wasn't huge. Up until last month I've never spent more then $40 on a game. Finally broke down and bought Earthbound for $220. Bunch of the PS2 stuff was $50+ it's getting up there now, if you want any PS2 games now's the time to buy em before they get crazy.
If you are looking to start collecting GC, Ps2 (starting to go up a bit), Xbox, 360 and PS3 games are good pickings right now.
I actually really like this pic. I think "focused" collections are way more impressive than just pics of shelves filled with games, personally.
You should do a bigger pic of all your Mega Man stuff.
Minor update.
Almost exactly a month ago, this is what my PS4 collection looked like,
(snip)
Slowly building up the PS4 collection finally.
Where did you get those glass shelves from? Is the Nintendo one an official Nintendo shelf (never seen one like that)?
