Sinclair media owns a lot of these local news stations in the US and forces them to air propagandistic material. It's annoyed me for a while. You guys have seen this stuff, right?

It's a breach of the public trust and they should lose their license.
Is it Trump
Or is it more like that Trump's behavior lets one finally see the democratic deficiencies of the US?
I don't see how a functioning democracy would let a clown like Trump get away with treason, corruption, incompetence, burning bridges with allies, etc.
Welcome to Capitalism.
Yeah, just look at this segment from the 32nd Federalist Paper on this very subject:It's exposed the fact that our government is built on a system of gentlemen's agreements and "no sane person would ever do that" clauses.
And then the rest of the papers are, like, Garfield comics or something. There is, undoubtedly, a concern amongst the People that such a Federal Government is merely a delusion constructed by civil agreements between the most gentlemanly of our countrymen. We admit this postulation is meritable. However, this shared terror need not be entertained, and no checks and balances need be instituted in the consitutional documents, for only a madman of true insanity would abuse its many failings.
I got news for you, so is every western democracy, they just scaled it down a bit when we still had unions, communist parties and angry white workers. Now that the latter were split in half with NIMBYs and they don't care about the non white workers (or minorities in general for that matter), they are slowly going back to how it was during the industrial revolution. The United States was never a democracy. It's a republic designed to keep the rich white upper class in power.
Everytime PBS airs Frontline I think to myself, "Frontline of... what?!" But we all know the answer. This must be that insidious liberal bias I'm always hearing about. I mean, they run Fox, the highest rated cable channel, and they run Sinclair, who's buying up all the TV channels. Is it any wonder we're all brainwashed by these liberal media mavens?
If any of those journalists had a shred of integrity, they would have refused to read the statement.
Sinclair is going to quietly replace Fox News as the most dangerous aspect of the GOP propaganda machine and the FCC should have never allowed it to happen except they are corrupt as well. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is no fixing the USA without figuring out a way to tackle the propaganda issues in this country first.

US isn't a democracy and it sure as well wasn't a democracy even before Trump. It's a oligarchy, where corporations are the ones making the laws, where you are told "everyone is equal" and then have election systems where you have a differently weighed vote depending on where you happen to live, where voter supression and gerrymandering are completely legal, where you can lose your right to vote if you happen to ever go to prison, despite the fact of all the gross mass incarceration and heavy racial bias in the judicial system. A country where slavery continues to exist to this day.Is it Trump

Listening to Channel 2 anchors Mark Koelbel and Shauna Lake, reading from the script, express concern "about the troubling trend of irresponsible, one-sided news stories plaguing our country" serves to remind viewers that KUTV's owner has a long history of one-sided news coverage to promote its right-wing agenda.
Anchors at Sinclair Broadcast Group stations were forced to read from the same script decrying "fake stories" and "biased reporting" in the last week.
Philly.com reports the script was given to anchors across the country, and echoed a statement made by Scott Livingston, vice president of news at Sinclair.
Sinclair Broadcast Group is selling WGN-TV to a Maryland auto dealer but would remain in control of the station in what critics say is a bid to skirt ownership limits and win federal regulatory approval for its proposed $3.9 billion acquisition of Tribune Media.
That means "Terrorism Alert Desk" and other programming staples of politically conservative Sinclair may yet be headed to Chicago's airwaves.
Also this:
If you're gonna do state propaganda, might as well hire experts.
Yeah, fuck Sinclair. I worked for them for a little over a year, and left just as they were starting to ramp up this nonsense. In addition to peddling this trash, they also pay well below market-average wages, and see their employees as expendable drones. Not a good company.
Woah really? Anything specific you can share? I have about a billion questions.
