All of my favorite tracks are by Richard Jacques, the man was COOKIN on Sonic 3D Blast (PC/Saturn).

Every now and then I just randomly remember how nice the music in the 'Extras' and 'Options' menus of Sonic Mega Collection was. It's not a very typical Sonic track which makes it stick out even more.

Been revisiting Sonic 06's OST recently and Wave Ocean is so under appreciated. When this track gets to the 2 minute mark, it just gets so damn exhilarating.

Mystic Cave gets me every time. A real hype track from the very first second. I adore Lava Reef as well (act 1) as well as Flying Battery (act 1). Love Marble Zone as well...
But honestly I dont think Ive played a Sonic game with a bad soundtrack. Even that piss poor excuse for a Sonic game (Forces) had an ace soundtrack.

I love the idea that the avatar stages have vocals to sorta voice what your character's supposed to be thinking through the levels. Helps that the songs are also bangers.

Yeah, loved the songs. I frequently found myself humming along to them. Also, as cheezy as it is, I love Fist Bump lol.
Almost 20 years later and no remix has gone harder than this. Incredible arrangement.

When I was a kid that was hooked me. It was out of nowhere for me and made me appreciate different tones of music if that makes sense.

The PC/Saturn version of Sonic 3D Blast has this incredible CD-quality soundtrack completely different from the Genesis version. It sounds so damn good, especially Rusty Ruin Zone. It just sounds so different and unique, but I can't quite put my finger on as to why, though. Truly an enigma...
