Lots and lots of crow about to be eaten in this thread. So many people thought that this would bomb with critics. Some naturally-occurring salt is inevitable. (Not that I'm defending it.)

Critical reception ≠ ticket sales though. We have no idea if this'll have long legs past opening weekend to catch up to Detective Pikachu (although I'm hoping it does).
You don't need scores to be included on RT. WaPo already has a review up there though, idk if they do reviews from the same publication.
Ironically this is a movie that could have probably done just as well in the box office while rocking a 30-40% RT score. That it's fairly well-received is just the cherry on top.

I agree with you, but of course we'll never know for sure. I'll gladly take this timeline where the movie is reviewing well though.

If you actually go through with this and film yourself, it'll be a thread for the ages.
Means it's not hilariously bad. Just your standard direct to DVD kids movie.
MC isn't a respected metric for movies. The 70% RT is more important, though it may not last.
Average, in terms of "quality" anyway. RT is just a measure for how likely you are to enjoy it, and even then RT has its own average rating that's a bit more "honest" since it calculates more reviews.
