Was it? The page linked says this: "Starting with the 4th update, Eric formed a small team to help him update the game."Monster. Well deserved, I still can't believe it was made in entirety by one person.

Oh. I think I've gone years assuming it was this dev. Oopsy
Probably because its the same publisher.
ah
He definitely doesn't need to work anymore. He became a multimillionaire within just a few months after release (source: Blood, Sweat, and Pixels). And made by one guy. I know it was very difficult for him during development, like I remember reading at one point he hated the game just because of exhaustion/frustration, but it was totally worth it. He probably doesn't need to work anymore with all the money this has brought him. Now he can fuck around and make whatever he wants at the pace he wants. Well deserved.
It's crazy. Personally Coral Island is my favorite now, but none of these games would exist without Stardew Valley. It opened the gates for everyone else to follow.
Well deserved.
There is also an amazing mod community on PC that always pulls me back into the game.

Yep.Truly amazing, specially so because it's made by one person, right? Biggest success case in the industry if you ask me.
I wouldn't hold out too much hope for that game (Witchbrook), all that we've ever seen are mockup concept images iirc. with no game to actually show - and since the lead director / head of the studio on that one (different from Stardew) was exposed for transphobia and exploiting minors for unpaid labour, they've gone pretty radio silent and not put much else out. Probably just a Stardew cash-in that's never going to actually see the light of day is my personal guess. 🤷
